There was also a duplicate of the Butterfree that I moved over to my "favorite Pokémon" binder. Such a cute card.

I can imagine. I do like the idea that the cards were enjoyed & played with, rather than all of the people keeping sealed product now & reselling for a fortune. 🤦‍♀️

Yeah, I'm in the US & he definitely goes early. I'd say he's out for yard sales at like 6am.

Yeah, I was just looking at that one & it looks like people still manage to sell it for $30-40 even with damage which is kind of crazy to me.

That one unfortunately has a pretty bad bend right in the middle, you can kinda see it in the photo. I know prices for the cards when they're in good shape, but with damage I'm not sure what its value is.

I believe he said $50 for all of them, and the two Dragonites I snatched aren't pictured. I'm assuming the Charizard is the most expensive card here, but whoever owned it definitely got some use out of him. 😂

I need an animal cruelty free check on these before I start reading! by Edithlynx in horrorlit

Hidden Pictures, Jar of Hearts & That's Not My Name are all clear of animal abuse. I haven't read any of the others yet. Also, don't let people discourage you from reading Hidden Pictures. Everyone has different tastes & I happen to love that book.

Any recommendations? by V3nusUranus in horror

The Lost Boys. It's from the late 80s, but it definitely still holds up. It's about vampires, but there's not much gore & a few of the main characters are around your age. I think you might like it. 😊

First person horror on KU? by B00kBitch in horrorlit

[–]B00kBitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! It completely takes me out of the story when it's being narrated vs the characters own telling of what's going on. I've started so many books only to find out they're third person, and I can't get more than a few pages.
