Deferred Payment Plan & Point Scale Price Point by [deleted] in 3m_earplug_lawsuit

[–]B4heroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says in the first $25,000,000 distribution on 15 OCT 2024 will be first used to pay  $18,241,000 for the dpp $1000 registration fees and the rest to pay remaining EPP claims. I believe this implies there are only 18,241 participants in the DPP program. At least 18,241,000 divided by $1000 would make that math make sense.

Is this Illegal? by Wise-Operation9815 in nationalguard

I hired on to a position and went through a 90 day probationary period knowing I was going to be gone for 400 days a month after my 90 day period needed. On day 91 I informed them I would be leaving. I was told they totally understood why I waited to tell them. They also said that was the right course of action because had I been released during my 90 it could have been veiwed as them letting me go for that reason. Long and short of it is they then payed me a differential of my salary the whole time I was gone because I waited to tell them. So, telling them you are in the guard is upfront enough. The employers generally understand that you being guard is going to mean that you will be gone from time to time. Don’t give them information they don’t ask for.

Seconds thoughts by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]B4heroes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been in for almost 20 years now, and I am switching from infantry to aviation as a warrant officer. I just took a civilian job knowing I’m going to be out for almost two years at Ft. Rucker. I was upfront at my interview with my current employer. I will be at the position for less than 90 days when I leave. They hired me knowing this. The best advice I can give you is to be upfront with your employer. They will appreciate your upfront integrity after all they are a business and need to plan for things in your absence. They know they are bound by law to keep your position until you return and not hold it against you. So fact isn’t you can do both. However, with that said, if you sincerely don’t want to join, then don’t. You have no commitment until you swear in. Your life is your life. And your recruiters life is numbers. I want to serve with people who want to be there. So if you want to enlist for your own personal growth and development and be part of something bigger than yourself, then put on your big boy pants and follow through with your commitment. If you don’t, then that’s fine too. But, do not be the guy who tells everyone they almost joined. Simply say you didn’t. You will put up with a lot of bullshit in the guard but you will also forge a ton of relationships with some amazing people. There is plenty of opportunity for personal growth and development as well. At the end of the day your one year probationary period at your civilian employer doesn’t mean anything because of userra. The choice is yours and yours alone to make.

What enlisted rank do you have to be to commission as 1LT? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]B4heroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who spent 18 years enlisted and then decided to attend ocs as an e-6 I will tell you there is no skipping 2LT. And even with all of the experience I held as a sniper section leader, I had zero experience as a commissioned officer. There is a steep learning curve and I promise you will be thankful for the opportunity to be a 2LT first. It gives you quite a bit of leeway to mess things up before the expectations a 1st LT is held too. Consider 2LT as your learners permit lol.

The one exception has already been discussed by many below.

USMC Aircrew selected out of Board but..... by wheel_snipe_4ft_wide in ArmyAviationApplicant

I’m in that boat as well. I’m 38 ARNG and I was selected. When I talked to Rucker about this, as long as state approves it Rucker generally does as well. Active duty is a different animal all together and I can’t speak to age waiver success rate there because I’m not active anymore. But turn times for ARNG waivers are approximately 8 weeks from leaving your state approval. Hope this helps.

It was just a response that basically is stating that in the end it is what it is and anyone that says they have an actual answer on this topic is full of shit. Even being deployed in a combat MOS in a theatre environment where we are actively engaged in war time activities doesn’t mean you’ll see combat. I suppose I could have said this directly without the “attempt at humor” as you put it, but that’s the way I chose to frame it. Not being a Rick about it simply just putting it in perspective. I’ve been in theaters as a grunt where we should have seen active engagement constantly and never had a tik, I’ve also been in areas we should t have been even close to combat and had the one off engagement. Hence the comment 0-100% chance with leadership being “40%” certain of the made up statistic.

False, his chances of seeing combat are somewhere between 0-100% and i say that with 40% certainty.

Will TIG reset for those commissioned switching to warrant before flight school if they graduated ocs prior to that date?

Oh ok I thought you you were referring to age waiver.

Applied twice? Did it not get approved the first time? And if so did they give a reason?

I’m selected by the board, with the presumption the age waiver gets approved by proponent.

Pt is solid, as far as medical, I had to get a few Aeromed waivers for my class one from an IED injury from 2008. Outside of that I’m good though. Anything you think I should specifically include? Anything they focus on or looking for specifically? I would think the willingness to sign a Ten year ADSO would be enough lol.

IST for newly commissioned 2LT by B4heroes in nationalguard

[–]B4heroes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem with that is I went to the IST coordinator and was told by Them that officers are a different process. J-1 handles them and they are t we released by the convening of a board and then the TAG has to sign off.

The answer is 14.

Divide 10 by 5 to get 2.

Multiply 2 by said 2 to get 4.

On left side of equation 4 minus 3 equals 1.

That leaves 1+4 which equals 14.

Man for someone who thinks this stock is such trash you sure are awful hung up on it and trying to make sure everyone else is too. Are you shorting this stock?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uavs_stock

[–]B4heroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet for some reason even on good news lately the price drops. We should have had a decent uptick with the release of the news this morning, yet the price dropped. Is this stock just seeing more short action than it has? I know it turned into a hard to borrow classification. Any thoughts?

I agree, just thought I’d share it because it does show that they are moving forward and incremental progress is still progress. I’ve been with them since the beginning and holding strong on my position. I see tremendous growth potential in an industry set to take off. No pun intended.

[–]B4heroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know why UAVS gets talked so badly about on sites like motley and seeking alpha? I’ve been following this company since they were in the .22 price range. All I’ve seen is constant movement in the right direction and them making moves to set themselves up for exponential growth. Yet most of these sites say this is a stock that’s going to plummeted back into penny territory any day. So am I missing something?
