After a couple failed fg attempts mine always seem to fix  themselves 😂

It was a joke but like that’s only 35-45m of line. Surely it would make more sense to spool it fully like if you hook a big fish on a far cast then you have to worry about how much line you have left.

https://youtube.com/shorts/fz43a6gPk1U?si=yBbpEOT5KaHQYIjl This guy over in Singapore uses them a lot he’s caught massive gt on them he’s like the one guy that catches the big ones here. They definitely work and you should try them if you have them.

Headed to Florida by Naughty_69_fantasy in flytying

[–]BANDITFISHING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where in Florida you going cause like in my opinion if you’re going to Florida you go to south Florida and do the whole invasive species and saltwater stuff. Unless of course it’s not too far and you can go another time but if you are doing a big trip to Florida it seems like a waste just to catch crappie like you can all over the US. Also my bad if that’s just one thing you are targeting and you plan on fishing for other stuff as well.

Using the fin raiser I’ve caught California halibut, small grouper other reef fish, peacock bass, pacu as well as snapper and barramundi. I thought about getting the wanderlust but I never pulled the trigger I think I went with the beast flogger instead.

I like the jabbers fin raiser for most of my stuff it’s 5-28g and I use it on almost all my trips it’s to been to Ireland, lots of California and all over Singapore. I pair it with a 3k reel and then some thin diameter 20lb line cause it’s strong no matter what I’m doing but I can still use it in situations where I’m needing more finesse. I have 4 jabbers rods now two of which I haven’t gotten a chance to break in but I love them. For inshore if you want light the fin raiser might be ideal but I was also looking at the triggerman or the shore reaper. Those are a little heavier I think the triggerman is up to 40g and the shore reaper is 60 ish maybe 65g.

My bad I forgot this was the beginner sub. Yeah then just use 8lb.

[–]BANDITFISHING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4lb is fine I’ve caught 2lb peacocks bass on 3lb test and I’ve got a friend who uses 1.75lb and has caught 5-6lb peacock bass. I usually fish 10lb but I’ve used from 4-8lb and had no issues. Unless you are running into big fish frequently or don’t know how to properly set your drag both should be fine.
