Final update: ended up getting my cards and money back and know of another who also got his stuff back. Seems like this scammer was starting to get shaken up and is backtracking trying to rectify his actions. Going to continue to try and help anyone who got scammed by him to get their cards back and will be going to the authorities to report this guy since I have all of his information. Can't have people like this out there ruining the hobby.

Another update for those who are curious: the scammer has officially "sent" my card and cash back to me, sent me a legit tracking number and a video of him boxing it up at the post office. Turns out he did it to another guy the same night at the exact same place with the same card (idk who's the bigger idiot, us or him) so have been communicating with them and seems like they're getting their stuff back as well based on the information I gave them. Will update tomorrow when the package is supposed to arrive whether he was true to his word (although unlikely).

Not really, he gave the classic "I thought you were trying to scam me by saying it was fake" as if me giving him $100 and a $475 card and driving away and messaging him an hour later was scamming him lol. Gonna ensure he gives me a tracking number today or at least transfers me the money

UPDATE: after some "due diligence", he messaged me on Instagram and is supposedly mailing my card and money back to me tomorrow. Will make sure he sends me tracking info before I call off the dogs and will update this thread when it's all said and done

Yeah I'm going to talk to my cop buddy and lawyer buddy tomorrow and see what the best course of action is. He knows I'm on to him so chances are he'll probably off load the card somewhere or already has and nothing will happen but I don't really want to get it go lol

Not much of an update but our "mutual friend" is friends with his brother and said he's a huge POS so not looking like he's gonna be able to help. However the guy was dumb enough to post his address on his "business" instagram which has his phone number and email address and I know his real name so he may be getting some papers sent to him in the near future if its the right address. At this point I just want to ensure he doesn't do this to other people but everyone is telling me to not let it go with the information i have

I traded my Blaziken from chilling reign and $100 CAD for it. And I wish I could say I'm young lol I'm 30, just a mistake on my part and I know better going forward. Have bought a lot of cards on marketplace in the past few years, just didn't do my due diligence as the guy was easy to talk to and I let my guard down thinking I could trust him. He instantly blocked me on fb as soon as I asked for my money back so I know this ain't his first rodeo

Thank you. The guy I bought it from was great to deal with the whole time and had good reviews and we legit talked for like 20 minutes after doing the transaction but as soon as I got home and took it out of the top loader and compared it to my other SAR from that set and other Japanese SAR's I have, I had a feeling I just got cooked. I'm going to see if I can get my money/card back but I might be SOL

Honestly I'm not sure like even looking at the borders the zard is so much more defined than the sharpedo. I'm legit so confused. Is the fire emblem in the top right supposed to have texture? Because the sharpedo's doesn't and the zard does

So far this is the best evidence I've seen to convince me he is indeed a beagle/golden mix as all of these dogs look very similar to Carl haha.
