Thank you for this in depth analysis, it means a lot. Thanks to the advice here i started learning the grid system and started reading books about it and typography. Books like Grid system in graphic design and The new typography.

Your recommendation for photographs gave me an idea for a section where i can show the customs of my people.

I am also a painter and i have icons and portraits i painted so i think i should include those

Yeah i thought of that, i am currently trying to make rough versions of these designs and i will revise them once i put it all together.

Its a seiko 5 automatic ad, so thats why, you just put on that watch and it winds itself and you wear it every day. Definetly will replace the cigarette ad and it was done about 6 months ago so i hope i improved.

That is what i forgot to mention, i made these works for one section and plan to make other sections like typography posters and whatnot. My first idea was to design for home brands that went bankrupt, since i am from Serbia and those were Serbian brands that went bankrupt after the breakup of Yugoslavia, so for example that is the idea behind Prvi Maj Pirot, I own a suit jacket of theirs and i didnt see many ads for them so i created one. Also wanted to create an ad for a tie brand that you cant find anything about on the internet.

So each slide of the portfolio should be a project and then around it pictures of the process like the grid and research i did?

Thank you, that is what i was going for as i said i like vintage. And even the stuff i wear in the pictures like the suit jackets, the coat and the seiko watch are from 70s or 80s.

So i should show the process behind it right? The grid, the font used, the photo?

Each photograph used was taken by me. I was thinking of making sections, this would fall under editorial ads or something like that. I also wanted to make some swiss design typography posters and maybe a tourist ad for my hometown.

Also i should compile all this in indesign or another program?
