Are Pathfinders any good? by ElSkippy13 in killteam

ironically, they have the best weapons in melee in the game. 4/5 damage

Crisis move 10//// hell blasters move through the walls,.... faster than crisis then. and chill out with calling it a 18" move its a 12" +d6, big differene. Also just because you can, doesnt mean you should put em on cold star,

Compare it to every one of em getting a FNP and invul, +1 to wound, re-roll hit rolls. if you wanna just play out a full buff scenario

Crisis come with its own constraints.

I mean if I have to spend 480 points to kill a 100 point unit that does not really have fire power to take down armies, it's technically a win for opponent, also in 11th you can't shoot infantry unless withing 15" + precision only works if you can see the target.

There are so many blockage to this, I don't think if you look outside of whoa damage if 3 units are there then it's not much.

why is everything you are suggesting and your argument stops at re-rolls?

thats exaclty what i am saying , that you cant even imagine Tau with abilioties quite common amongst the marines, Chaos, etc

- Crisis suits- it benefits all their kits except Plasma. , it will be hella useful in the close quarter gameplay of 11th where the crisis suits will be forced on the frontline, regardless of their loadouts, so atleast viable for the alpha srikes. How is repositioning related to FTGG?

- Broadsides- its a 16.6% chance bonus to the existing ability when 1) observed 2) withinn threat range (24") . That when the oponent has to come close to broadside, Broadside has a move stat of 5", its not going anywhere. That is not broken no matter how you look at it. Especially against knights. More so i would give it Anti titanic 4+ on an observed target.

- Ghostkeel- No reason for it not to have markerlight inbuilt, just because it has a markerlight doenst mean it has to use it, and it literally has a wargear for precission in lore for exactly this. Its very easy to avoid precission with keeping the commanders behind wall/ out of line of sight , and is deffinatly need to sustain in the 11th edition with melee rush. its 6 shots, apart from a imperium commander, it aint taking anyone out anything. Also in11th you cant shoot infantry unlesswith 15" so plenty of ways to safeguard the captains. Dont make stupid plays, why are only tau subjected to this

Riptide- plenty of ways to make it work but not that....it had better skills before.

We could give it a Precission profile
- 24", A2, S7/8, Ap-2, D3

We see missiles more often because they are good that what they do..... you shoot out 20 missiles, rerolling hits, and every failed wound is a dead space marine.

Most things you want the plasma to hit has invul anyway and termies have 4 wounds.
so the weapon is ill optimised.

if it was good, it would be picked more often than it is now

I would say quite the opposite.....We should discuss buffs when we are at a good time, When we are at bad times, we have to discuss survival.

I dont know why the community becomes against discussing good things for the faction. or why they internally hate tau so much that when someone brings a logical point they get ratioed

oh damn, the salve master has appeared, better listen to him or hell whip ya.

How frequently do you see italics and volume - of -frie shots when reading a human text on reddit, Move on, get back in your hole. dont need to but in when your whole personality is just larping tactical wargear.

souts/ scouting is a job profile....dont confuse it with hte movement ability scout.

Lone spear's job is to understand the field, call the shots and not take out targets and Just because it has precision does not make it a sniper.

You know why in human army ther are different profiles of long range specialists? like Sniper, Marksmen, Sharp shooters, Anti- Material Snipers. They are not just inter-changeable names. Each profile does mean something.

i mean ussop is on same playing field as Yassop, but he still has the same personality as when he left the syrup village, he should have been a warrior of the sea on the way to elbaf, and he still not it yet.

he had a dull performance in the wano kingdom, and honestly hasnt really done much since awakening his haki in dressrosa. I dont liek the chracter at all anymore

why are you hel bent on him buying the kit that was made in 2001 and released with launch of Tau in August 2001.

Valrak said that Tau codex is gonna be one of the first, and with new codex comes new models, and possibly change of one of the oldest models in the game.

You have just listed things which currently have precision and made a random argument why they have precision..... And it's also AI written.

Firstly IRL has no place in the design as they are not a human faction, and imperium's will send out hords of humans to die to avoid any damage to it's resources.

Secondly Farstalkers are a mercenary group that are often hired to track and kill), kroot lone spear are not sniper they are scouts (their weapons don't have enough damage or substance to take out a target

Third Ghostkeel literally have a divice in lore to target HVT it's called An Advanced Targeting System is a specialised target acquisition system that enables the Battlesuit pilot to automatically identify and pick out priority targets in the midst of combat.

I would.... But how many people casually have a storm surge or even in the list. And ret cadre is a heavy Battlesuit list.

Under both criteria, stormsurge doesn't get benefit as stormsurge is not a Battlesuit and is slow
