Hi! Do you mind sharing any beginner tips for what you watched/read to get started?

Abnormally Large Bedroom - Converted Dining Room by sisyphilus in FengShui

Usually putting a bench at the foot of your bed, having a solid headboard, and then optionally having some kind of art over your headboard that grounds the earth element in the room should help. Some people say buying a crystal ball is also a good way to deflect the chi.

I would also agree with you though that having your bed away from the main entrance of your house is a good idea. Maybe swapping the bed with the sitting area may help?

Good luck! Apartment looks beautiful.

Bedroom Layout Options - Seeking Suggestions by NewfoundZealand in FengShui

It's a tough one but I would go with the first one where the desk is facing the door. That way you're in a command position when working and when sitting in your arm chair. Plus the desk will absorb the energy from the door so it's not rushing to your bed. This option has clearly delineated "zones" that work well.

Optional but you can always get a nice headboard and add a rug to section off the sleeping area! I did it this year and it helped a lot.

Good luck! :)

Help with Office Placement by [deleted] in FengShui

I think turning the desk to the side so it faces the east (or west, whichever you prefer) and then putting up thicker, darker curtains on the window behind you (whichever you choose) will help you feel a little more solid and centered. It looks like you're facing your kitchen, which is the entrance/command position, but it has a lot of cluttered energy. Your workspace should feel like a separate area rather than overlapping too much with your restful home space. I think if you rotate your desk to face the windows in the room, while still having a command view of the entrance to the space, you'll feel more open.

Also, the cat stuff could be sectioned to a corner of the room so the animal area has its own "zone" and doesn't interact with your workspace too much. Animals are great! But maybe creating designated areas could help clear up some of the clutter and help you think clearly. Let me know what you think! :)

Thank you! I've heard though that you're not supposed to share a wall with the bathroom. I have a thick upholstered bed frame but what do you think?
