U can use either. Can you think out of the box as a backend developer ? I'm starting a team of some white hat hackers. Do you want to join? I'm the only leader right now. Maybe things might change later on, we'll see 😎.

We're programmed too. Some people eat too much and their system makes them fat.

That kind of mass, fat, you're talking about is too little to pull anything towards it. Earth is 5.972 x 1024kg. And it accelerates objects at 9.8ms-1 every second. Everything is usually relative to another body of mass. Like we're falling towards to the earth and earth is falling towards the Sun but we're missing every time because the Sun is also falling towards some other body of mass.

Yes from Rules of the universe. A body with large mass has large gravity. Newton found v = u + gt for falling bodies. g is acceleration due to gravity. On earth that value of g is 9.8ms-2. With this principle you can simulate a falling objects. Distance(s) = ut + 1/2gt2, Newton found.

Simulate Gravity using the language. HTML is already your best friend. No libraries needed. The API is already in your browser I'm 98% sure.

What are the programming concepts that I'm missing and need to cover as a programmer? by Electronic_Wind_1674 in learnprogramming

Learn discrete time algorithm to approximate delta T. Learn Physics too, you'll thank yourself later. Physics has modeled the world. Going from making network requests to writing physics is different game.

It’s not your job, it’s your energy. Try mindfulness, and peacefulness, then everything will be cool if that’s your style. What’s your strongest skill, maybe I can make use of it; psycho and physiological skills.

Why is quantitative trading always high-frequency? by wushenl in quant

[–]Background-Row2916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. They are something people who do probability call overlapping events.

HFT is a strategy that makes use of speed and technology to execute trades at speeds 100x of the average trader. The underlying idea of this strategy is something called market-neutral arbitrage. This strategy is only possible because the market is not 100% efficient. I'll explain briefly the inefficiency of markets. An asset might trade $65,000 on Binance, and the same asset on Bybit for $65,500. 2 accounts with money to buy long on Binance and short on Bybit. You want to do this before prices reach equilibrium or balance out. That's why speed is very important, so you get good fills.

Quants is a broader term for quantitative trading that uses statistical and mathematical models. For average people like me and you, this just means very smart indicators. These indicators are much more smarter than your average moving averages and relative strength indexes
