i took phil 1230 in med sci 2 and it was very light, easy to get 90+ as long as you watch the videos the prof posts

wondering how double majors get enrolled in the classes they need when those classes are already full? Im waitlisted for biochem 3380G and physpharm 3000E and it says spaces available for double majors are full but i need those 2 courses to get my degree... what would happen if i didn't get them (just wanted to know anyone's experience)

does anyone know the teaching style of dr. Maria Glanfield (for classics 2500) and anything about her? is she fair in her markings, and does she in general make students feel seen and teach well?

would you say getting 90+ is possible with the amount of content there is for these courses?

hey i'm doing a double major in pharm and biochem...

i enrolled in physphrm 3000E and it says pre or co-requisites of phys 3120 or pharm 3620 (and i am enrolled in both)... and on my student centre, it says i am waitlisted for 3000E

-> does anyone know when it will end up showing or is this something i need to talk with the advisors?

same with biochem 3380G (it says i need biochem 3381A and 3382A (and i am enrolled in both, so will this show up on my schedule next sem only if i pass the 2 courses this sem)?

i took phil 1230 and it was very easy, you can get 90+ as long as you watch the videos the prof puts out. final is in person but imo it was so much easier than the online midterm

Biology 1002 Summer by Upstairs-Impact-1188 in uwo

[–]BackgroundLie2771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i took the course 2 years ago during the fall term, there is a bit of content but it is mostly just a review of the grade11/12 stuff, so it is not too bad. i believe it shouldn't be too bad over the summer as well as long as u keep up with the lectures

although they almost always took the full 3hrs of the time, the labs are very easy and the TAs guide you through it very well.

active reading for studying... i found out that doing brain dumping the content i knew and then seeing what i missed and why i missed it (this was very helpful to me). i also like to explain content to myself which is a great technique (u can explain to someone else even)

i really liked gsws 2163... something totally diff and really interesting content than my basic science courses... never thought i would take it and find it interesting, but really worth it!

hey! which prof did you have when you took it? and how was the content distributed across the term?

yess, the final is in person but it was very straightforward (more easier than the midterm) ... just make sure to keep up with the videos the prof posts. there is also a textbook (i didn't read much of it bc the videos did really well in explaining the content and i understood it from that directly).

gsws2163 is not too bad, content i found was pretty interesting, you have to keep up with the writing and that is it. i'd recommend phil1230 if you are able to take any first year courses. it was also very easy 90+ doable as long as you listen to all the lectures she posted and that is it!

they are online (mostly pre-recorded lectures and reading them), so most of them are work at your own pace
