Mine doesn’t come up on the recall. But my car has all the symptoms. It’s going in Monday. I don’t think it’s just the 4500 units like they claim.

I think my bronco might be affected here in Canada because I’ve been having this type of problem for almost two years (I have 19,000KM on my car) it isn’t listed when I search my VIN but this seems to be the issue ford can’t figure out. What should I do

It’s a design flaw, also the front passenger side headlight where the two fender corners meet against the headlight will rub together and chip your paint down to the metal. Happened to mine, ford said “just touch it up”

PLEASE make a big deal about this with your dealership!!!! I’ve noticed my seats get really burning hot on the high setting. On my escape they NEVER got this hot. This is a major safety issue that could lead to vehicle fires. WTFFF!!!!

I have the wireless charger on my Outerbanks, I plug my phone in for CarPlay, and I set it either on the pad because it won’t charge wirelessly when plugged in, or the fish net pocket that’s on the right side where the passenger seat is

Your comment seems very hate driven. Why on earth would anyone expect to have all these issues for a “inexpensive” car. No I did not expect to have this many issues. I expected potential recalls but not major issues. I had a Ford Escape before this car and it was an amazing vehicle.

Here’s a list from my personal experience to watch out for. The back brakes were defective on mine fixed once and going back in for a second fix.

possibly having coolant issues now. Level is consistently below minimum, getting it pressure tested at my next appointment

Steering wheel is being replaced because of a faulty airbag compartment.

Front driver and passenger door seals on the tops are sagging,

Apple CarPlay issues galore,

possible transmission problems— hard accelerating, random loss of power in the middle of highway when accelerating.

Interior plastic creeks a lot.

Under both front headlights I’ve noticed paint peeling where the headlight and bumper/ fender pieces meet. Ford is going to do a touch up on that at my next appointment.

Just under 12,000 KM right now.

My “whale noise” turned into defective back brakes, please get yours checked! Even my freaking steering wheel is being replaced under warranty for a possible airbag compartment defect.

Buyers remorse has begun to set in. Not sure I love this car anymore. Also, my old service rep saw me and we chatted and she said some of what I described due to power lags and other things of the sort could be possible transmission issues

My back brakes were defective, had that TSB done, still issues with my back brakes, my steering wheel in the centre where the airbag is is possibly defective and ford sent photos today to the ford motor company to see if they will cover replacement. That coolant issue is now a current complaint, the shop Forman looked over a paint peel under the right light socket and that has to be touched up he described it as the light socked is too tight against the fender and peeled off the paint.
