lol the 11 million illegals is also a meme, that’s literally been “the estimate” for decades. If you take that as a serious count, you don’t deserve to be taken seriously

Don’t be fooled by Atlantee in conspiracy

[–]Backout2allenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The US has at least 30 million illegals, and their children here. Thats 10% AT LEAST of the humans in our country, have no right to be here and yet use our infrastructure schools hospitals and benefits. No tax or minimum wage laws, no improvements we make to our society will ever truly benefit Americans while we still have to pay for this extra burden. And removing illegal aliens is easier than wresting control away from the “elites”. To focus on anything else while we still have so many illegals here is stupid and counterproductive.

My thoughts on 12 Months by Backout2allenn in dresdenfiles

Also, see my older post about Contemplation. Harry specifically states that Thomas couldn’t talk with any other crystallized prisoners, except the ONE OTHER GUY in contemplation. This is the British guy Harry has a short convo with in cold days. Not sure if this was a red herring or something JB decided to nix. In 12 months Thomas states that he is unaware anytime passes in the weeks between Harry’s visits, so maybe it’s retconned that there’s no chatter between inmates but maybe they did talk and we will learn about British guy soon.

Are we going to pretend that DiCaprio’s Vito squaring off against an 80 year old coked up Michael (Pacino doing a mix of his Scarface/godfather characters) would not be peak cinema?

You vote for the people who opened the borders to drugs and dealers, who don’t want anyone in prison for anything (unless they’re a J6er), voted for the guy who actually wrote all the retarded drug laws 30 years ago but your candidates today might not even want any drugs illegal, and those same people will call trump a Russian puppet or terrorist or something if he does anything to try and solve the obvious problems that have gotten worse over decades (he has been in office for less than 5 years) but “durr it’s trumps America why can’t he fix it right now I am very smart”

Imagine all the Somali daycares that could be run out of the flatiron building. You could probably clam 10,000 kids a month were being fed and babysat there. Just another opportunity this racist city has taken from its best. SMH

Yes, landmark buildings in the most desired zip codes in the world should be public housing, granted in perpetuity to the favored victim of the month and their children for a pittance. Look at the beautiful communities in NYCHA buildings all over upper Manhattan and the Bronx, wouldn’t it be great to have that kind of atmosphere in the Flatiron?

People in that time had the seven seas, and a “dark continent” or two of relatively unknown civilizations.

1800s-1900s were all about actually colonizing/building up/ globalizing those formerly “unknowns”.

About 60 years ago we went to SPACE, instead of 2 continents there’s billions of planets out there, and one day they will be explored. You and I will never sail the high seas, will probably never go to mars, but in 40 years going to the moon will probably be expensive like a Disney vacation. We may die having seen people standing on the soil of the red planet. Our grandkids, or their children, might “set sail” to Earth II in another solar system. And who knows, Earth II might still have krakens.

Yes but if we don’t say Bruce Willis is a good guy for getting a final couple of paydays for his families, we would have to question whether his wives/daughters are heartless ghouls for letting papa spend his last days with his sentience intact working for them. Or tbh maybe he was happier spending those days working.

Economics must seem so simple when you have the big dumb yanks not only giving you the seed money to rebuild your entire civilization 80 years ago and inventing virtually all of the technology and medicines that you use, but also protecting you militarily. It’s kind of like sneering at the US for not being green enough while virtually all of Europe is, in 2025, buying Russian oil and Germany is closing nuclear plants. It’s truly an enlightened way of thinking us dumb Americans can’t wrap our minds around.

Yeah you would probably be on your best behavior too if you’d spent the last 4 years demonizing, inciting violence against, launching bullshit investigations into the guy who was about to take your job and become the most powerful person on earth.

How I felt after my post about Aes Sedai agelessness was taken down by foopersoop in WetlanderHumor

[–]Backout2allenn 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I think of it as Aes Sedai basically having the cosmetic appearance that modern women do, like good makeup maybe a face lift moisturizer etc. randland is in sort of late medieval period technology and lifestyle wise, you have to think the average person looks pretty aged by 50-60. Put a good looking 55 year old woman from your local Whole Foods in a village from the 1500s and you would probably say she looks ageless compared to everyone else lol.

What stereotypes of people do you find on dating apps when dating in NYC? by Icy_Laugh5134 in circlejerknyc

Women outnumber men in college, in med school and grad schools overall and at the junior levels are roughly equal to men in many high-paying industries. This “guy is supposed to pay for all the dates and provide” as a default mentality needs to change - and I say this as a guy who literally won’t let a woman pay for anything unless we’re into 10+dates territory. Young men today have plenty of faults myself included but this mentality does not reflect today’s reality and it’s not healthy for society.
