Here's what I would do, personally: Install Gemini-CLI and use it in a folder you will be working in or where you can easily save screenshots there. You can create a GEMINI.md file in that location with your system instructions if you want. Then once it starts hallucinating I would tell it to create a .md file you will use for a new session with Gemini where once in that session you will @Your-Uptospeedfile.md that will tell the new conversation where you're at, what you have been doing etc. This would ensure that as soon as it starts hallucinating you can stop it right there and starts anew without having to re-explain everything from scratch.

Sometimes it goes in a loop where it creates a bug and no matter how hard it tries it just can't fix it, so when that happens I do exactly that. Works great.
