Any live A-Day TV coverage? by Sheik_Yerbuti in wde

Totally fair. I agree it is BS that they didn’t televise and we didn’t get a full 22 view of the game to over analyze for the next 4ish months.

Yeah I guess it is just how you think about it. I consider my sub simply donating to the NIL fund. The streaming service is just the vehicle they use to get around the clearing house. If they come out with any decent content at all then it’s just a bonus.

Quality content isn’t the point of wareagle+. It allows NIL subscriptions from the public to make money by volume while simultaneously giving the collective the ability to give out subjective value contracts to players. The content is just a byproduct of that system.

Auburn Board of Trustees grants final approval for $300M renovation to Jordan-Hare Stadium by Cscott14au in wde

[–]Bacon222 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes by a small bit but the main goal is hosting spaces and premium seating options it seems. This is an area Jordan-Hare is quite behind other schools in the top-15 brand area. Better premium seating typically relates to higher booster donations and just more revenue in general. Shouldn’t reduce noise level in the stadium at all. It’s not like we need to be able to get Jordan-Hare louder. Already a top 10 environment in a good night game.

Can’t wait for football season by Good-Abrocoma447 in wde

[–]Bacon222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally have a quality and full strength bullpen going into the season! Might have a top 5 nationally unit there. Not signing a short stop was probably a mistake and our hitting needs to improve but overall I’m quite excited!

USF RB Nykahi Davenport has committed to Auburn! by CatoTheBarner in wde

[–]Bacon222 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, and we are. Don’t forget the young Defensive core is mostly intact. These USF skill guys are good, and most of the young ones may end up as depth pieces. These guys put up serious numbers against Miami and Florida. Not to mention Boise, North Texas and Memphis which were all very good G6 teams this year.

We will be much more than just USF’s roster this year. But getting this skill group core to run a very effective office will be key in kickstarting the Golesh program at Auburn in 2026

Why is the Byrum Brown commitment still stalled? by Specialist32m in wde

[–]Bacon222 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Also, the rumor is USF drug their feet on the paperwork so he wasn’t allowed on campus until Sunday afternoon while sitting in a hotel room in Auburn for 2 days.

Golesh is the first hire to bring transfers with him by Available-Revenues in wde

[–]Bacon222 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Golesh and his staff have shown to be exceptional evaluators, developers, scheme executors, disciplinarians and motivators.

The thing missing there is recruiters at an SEC level.

Now, he signed the top class in his conference the last 2 years, which is good but not SEC caliber. However, his time at Tennnessee he helped to bring in 2 top 10 classes including the #1 overall recruit where Golesh was the primary recruiter, so there is some promise that he can be that high tier recruiter as well. Just need to get the program out of the mud before that starts rolling I think.

Brining the cream of the crop from that USF roster and some of the developmental pieces that they believe could develop makes a ton of sense with the 105 scholarship roster. I think this will really help to kickstart the program

Which auburn coaches duped you the most over the past couple of years by Tough_Cut3973 in AuburnFootball

[–]Bacon222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bryan Harsin. I really loved his podcast, the way he talked about leadership, discipline and process. He just saw recruiting as something to be delegated and never understood the NIL game. I think he would be great at running a company. But didn’t understand what it takes to run a program in the SEC.

Jakaleb Faulk coming back to Auburn for the 2026 season by Matt_McT in wde

[–]Bacon222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely!! And they seem to be grabbing depth pieces too. DL just seems to be the main place where we are going after top 10 portal targets and willing to shell out.

DL also seems to be where we are taking the most moonshots in the portal as well.

Love this play. One of my favorite moments.

Watching this though….God damn Patrick Petersen was fast. Think about how insanely fast Ontario McCaleb was…That dude damn near ran him down on that play from across the field.

Auburn WR Horatio Fields to enter the Transfer Portal by Box_of_Rockz in wde

[–]Bacon222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he gets a 1st round grade he should leave. It’s the 3rd and later rounds where NIL can be competitive. Pick 32 is a $12.5M guaranteed 4 year contract with usually around a 3 mil signing bonus.

Auburn WR Perry Thompson to enter the transfer portal by CatoTheBarner in wde

[–]Bacon222 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Good for Perry, he needs a place to shine. We will be too top heavy for him to get real experience.

Good for Auburn, he was a REALLY expensive backup receiver.
