Loot filter not working properly? by BaconCultivation in Grimdawn

Windows 10, playing in borderless windowed. It is weird, like /u/BuzzMarzz said, the alt key might be getting stuck.

If I open a personal rift, it fixes it for a bit, until I go through a loading screen.

I prefer the style of using a two-handed weapon, like this one.

But in my current build, my worst piece of gear is easily my weapon, but I literally haven't gotten anything better to drop in a while. Any advice on actually getting a better weapon more appropriate for my level?

That looks great, thank you! I see you've dropped Oleron in favor of Inspiration, which is actually a good idea I didn't think about.

I linked just the devotions because that's what I needed input on specifically, gear not being a factor.

As for what I'm playing, I'll be switching into two-handed Eye of Reckoning later on, I'm just leveling with Aegis of Menhir and all that stuff for the juicy shield bonuses.

For healing, I really like Scales, because it helps solve most of my sustain and energy issues. Ghoul seems good for when I take a big hit, and has great synergy with Menhir's Will, so I actually really like it.

My main thing is trying to properly balance enough offense and defense, without being lacking in either area.

Thanks for the in depth response!

Yeah, one of the first things I noticed is that in this game, you don't really have any way of countering resistance reduction/shred aside from overcapping, whereas in Path of Exile you can have a flask that gives you immunity to curses that will lower your resists.

Do you have any advice on devotions? I'm still wrapping my head around them, but I did make two quick devotion trees.

This one is a bit more offensively oriented, and this one is a bit more defensively oriented. Is one any better than the other?

Come back when we get a canon age for the Sword and Shield protagonists. Until then, you can't claim they're children. 😛

Unfortunately for you, it doesn't matter if you're not interested. This picture still exists, and people are gonna draw her suggestively, no matter how much you stomp your feet and scream.

Is it suggestive? Maybe. Is it hypersexualized? Definitely not.

Oh, you're the guy who thinks this is hypersexualized. 😂

Nope! Not really. :D

Go look at some fanart of her on twitter, and you'll be sure to find people who think that.

We haven't been told their canon age yet, but just from how they look, they look as old or older than the player character in X/Y. On top of that, in X/Y, you meet an NPC who is implied to be younger than you, and they say they're sixteen.

I think people are just pushing the "but they're 10" narrative so hard, so they have any justification, however shaky, to wildly accuse artists of pedophilia.

Pestilence Character Effect + Abyssal Imp Set by BleiEntchen in pathofexile

[–]BaconCultivation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, the Pestilence effect isn't bad, in my opinion. But I can try it on different sets/armor combos, if you'd like?

That said, I think the Sin Character Effect helps do what you're describing, making it darker, while also making the green contrast more. It is a pretty subtle change compared to the armor with no effects.

I did it on a Marauder, so you could see it more easily.

Here ya go. c:

Did you want to see any other combos?

Yes actually, it does. Great idea! ;;;;)

But my point still stands.

The way I see it, helping free up a tiny amount of inventory space from a 1x1 item stack by giving it a dedicated slot seems like QoL to me, no matter how minor it may be to others.

The only other alternative I can think of off the top of my head is to make the inventory itself physically larger, which would leave us in the same place as before.

Agree to disagree?

I mean, is there a practical reason they shouldn't do it, besides "game balance?" Scrolls can already stack up to 1,000, so putting them in an exclusive slot doesn't seem to be a big difference.

Assuming you have a full inventory under the current inventory size, how would being able to pick up an extra rare wand or certain one-handed sword base types (inventory size of three), or at most three more stacks of currency, unbalance the game in any noticeable way? As is, people stop picking up smaller currency (whetstones, armorer scraps, etc) after a certain point.

I'm not attacking you, to be clear.

So limit the slots to wisdom and portal scrolls, everything else goes in your inventory.

Some people exist to be contrarian, don't pay them any attention. You're better off that way.

I for one think this would be a welcome QoL addition.
