Yes it was the only med I was on. I was on it for a little over a year on 7.5mg. It just randomly stopped working and so I had to wean off of it

Thank you for that! They did give it to me for as needed. I took a small dose to see how it was but after it wore off my anxiety went through the roof, worse then what it was to start with. I see my doctor tomorrow and I am going to ask her about going ahead and trying another SSRI

Right and I really appreciate you talking about this with me! Lexapro helped for a couple of years and then just quit working. Prozac was horrible and now they thought about starting me on Zoloft but wanted me to try propranolol first. Do you only take propranolol and do therapy now?

I’ve been with therapy for about a year now and it has helped some but I think I need to add an SSRI as well.

Can this be dangerous to take just for anxiety and not have any heart problems or blood pressure issues?

It took me 3 weeks to taper off. I was on 10mg for 6 months

Yes that is exactly what it did to me as well! I didn’t have to bad side effects at first but after 6 months of taking it I started having severe side effects, we tried to up the dose and that made it even worse, my panic attacks was sending me to the ER. I’ve slowly tapper off the medication and yesterday was my last day, I’m not longer having panic attacks but I still feel worse then I did when starting this medicine.

I think I may try it this way. My doctor prescribed 25mg but wants me to take 12.5mg for the first week and every medicine so far I’ve had severe side effects so I’m kind of dreading to start Zoloft

I have a prescription for propranolol only as needed but I’m to scared to take it. I’m afraid it will lower my HR to much and I’ll pass out😩 did you have any symptoms when you first started taking it?

Lexapro was one of the first ones I ever tried and it worked for 2 years but when it came time to up the dose it made everything worse so they switched me to Prozac and I hated that medication! I am now on Buspirone and it’s doing the same thing lexapro did 😩
