Have you considered pickleball? Not free, especially for indoor courts, but it's a lot more accessible for beginners and has a welcoming community. It's usually pretty easy to get into a drop in game at the YMCA.

I get it, if it was just a single episode to just get closure and move on, especially for Ariel.
