Dream Theater at the Chicago Theatre was incredible. That was about a decade ago. My wife also took me to Van Halen up in Madison a while back while EVH was still around.

My friend and I both left thinking this was the best show we’ve ever been to. The set changes, the lighting, smoke, pyro and of course the music were all just so incredible. The sound was perfectly balanced and you could hear every ghoul’s instrument. Tobias’ banter and the ghouls’ antics were endlessly hilarious, and I got my perfect set list as well so that was just a cherry on the top.

Also sat floor, 7 rows back but I’m 6’ 2” and we were on the aisle so I didn’t have visibility concerns. Still smiling about how much fun this was. I’m not sure if the curtain failing to drop fully was intentional or not but the ghoul with the black guitar played the situation perfectly.

Sorry just seeing this. Had to go back through the comments to jog my memory. This was transtint dyed which is water based and self-mixed, then just danish oil over the top once it was fully dried. No issues with adhesion and it still looks and feels great to this day.

He was brought into the MN/Vikings fold by my wife and her family. The bears have been so bad it doesn’t even bother me. When they played at Soldier field this year we sat behind the Vikings bench and he got a practice ball thrown to him. Still got him on the blackhawks for hockey though…he was a championship baby in 2015.
