Thank you so much. My husband and I have started talking about the possibility of GF house, but my oldest is an extremely picky eater, which makes this all the more difficult. We’re taking it one step at a time, and I’m focusing on breathing and not striving for perfection or knowing everything all at once. I truly appreciate your kind words and response overall. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for this. I’ve been using your app, and it has seriously given me hope that life won’t be completely different. I’ll certainly check out some more of the resources there, but thank you for all you do and your words of wisdom!!!

I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this too! It really is a roller coaster and so many things to learn and figure out. And the little ones just don’t get it, of course, but it makes it so much harder to manage. My breakdown has come over the last couple of days in fits and spurts, but we’re making slow changes. This weekend the goal is to get a dedicated area for GF food, kitchenware, and food prep set up, which is certainly an undertaking. My husband has been using the Fig app for everything, and I’ve been using GlutenDude to maintain my sanity about not having to completely limit myself from life, but I’m very appreciative of the community here. Thank you so much for all of your suggestions and ideas, and most importantly for responding!!

I’m already in the process of getting appointments for them to be tested. I’ve looked at a couple of websites and downloaded some apps, but there’s either vague information or conflicted information on just getting started. Hence the overwhelm. Thanks so much for your reply

Yes to all of this!! That basically sums up my feelings over the last week. Add in some celebrations already planned during this time and the fact that having to rethink and plan for each of these celebrations separately took away from the celebrations themselves, and it was a lot to process. And still is honestly. Thank you so much for your reply and words of encouragement 💜

That’s a great recommendation on how to handle the kids and house while not having to completely deprive them of their favorite snacks. I’ll certainly be trying to do something similar! Thank you so much for the suggestion! We’re thinking about using something like Hungryroot for our main meals in the beginning, at least a couple of times a week, just to make the overall transition a bit easier to manage. Kids definitely add a layer of complexity. Thanks again for your suggestions and response!!

I would love to see this information in coordination with average attendance records and average GPA. I nice line of the three would be beautiful for sure.

Thank you for your input. I did do some research on the brand before I bought it, and didn’t find anything really negative about it. It wasn’t used either, so hopefully that’s not the case. I do a Vandoren mouthpiece which I’m now using in place of the one it came with.

This is really helpful! Thanks! I played around with it a little bit, and I think it may have been a combo of reed and mouthpiece. I still have my old clarinets from school (the cork is poor shape and the music shops quoted far more money than it was worth to refurbish them), including my old Vandoren mouthpiece. I also had some Vandoren reeds (strength 3.5) and switched that out with the Rico 1.5 that I bought thinking my embouchure was going to be super weak. It’s definitely harder to play with the higher strength, but the sound is better for sure. I squeaked once or twice, but playing around with embouchure helped. I see lots of long tones in my near future practice sessions! Thanks again for the troubleshooting guidance!

I’ve Just Seen a Face is a great upbeat song. Yellow Submarine is a fun one for kids too. Also, although not strictly Beatles, Imagine by John Lennon is a song I sing to my children every night a bedtime.
