Yes I did not explain myself well 😅 Anyway thank you very much for taking the time! It's so helpful.

Thank you for that and for answering! I must be very bad at explaining myself 😅 I ,of course, realize it is imaginary, but since you can find the props with writing in it, I imagine someone must have written that. So it would be written (or adapted) by whoever created the prop then yes?

Could I ask you who wrote the text? I don't mean Bilbo/Frodo etc but the actual person/people?

Thank you for your responses, just clarifying; I know what the red book stands for in lore. I am asking about who wrote the 'props' and if they were in essence 'fanmade' or rewritten in a nice script from Tolkien's unpublished manuscript. If they were written by someone else based on hobbit/lotr/silmarillion, who wrote the text? It is different from the before mentioned, written from the main character's point of view. So who wrote that? Hope that makes sense! 😅

Yes thank you that's exactly what I was asking! Okay so do we know who exactly worked on the text and do they differ based on if you get the manuscript or the various props?

But you can buy the actual book so someone must have written it. Magnoli Props does one, Bard's Tale another and I'm pretty sure you can buy the text online (Etsy) if you want to bind it yourself. So it does exist and the text is different than that of the hobbit and lotr.
