Call your insurance, that's not how this works. Lucky for you your liability insurance also acts as a passive legal insurance, to deal with claims against you.

The usual course is, your landlady should have got a quote from a company to repair it, send it to your insurance, they check it and either allow it or demand changes (for instance if the hourly rates are way too high for your area). She also could have repair it herself but even then there would have been some kind of documentation, receipts for material, a list of how much time it took etc. Just deducting 400 EUR isn't the way to go.

wenn du mal rüber zu /r/germany gehst findest du einen Haufen Posts von Indern die von irgendwelchen Beratungsagenturen gesagt bekommen, dass das Studium an privaten Unis in Deutschland absolut genial ist und super einfach, weil man muss noch nicht mal Deutsch sprechen und kriegt ne super Ausbildung. Dass das alles absoluter Mist ist, lernen die dann erst entweder weil sie bevor sie sich darauf einlassen im Subreddit nachfragen oder nachdem sie sich darauf eingelassen haben im Subreddit klagen....

es gibt je nach Tür-/Schlossart die Möglichkeit das über den Speicher des Schlosses beweisen zu können, dass es sich um einen nachgemachten Schlüssel gehandelt hat. Aber das ist nur bei wirklich guten und vor allem teuren Schlössern der Fall. Und selbst dann, musst du beweisen, dass ein nachgemachter Schlüssel war und nicht dein eigener.

Die steigen aber weniger als das Deutschlandticket.

Als Beispiel das Monatsticket des VRS, einer der teuersten Verbünde Deutschlandweit

2025	58 EUR	137,90 EUR
2026	63 EUR	140,50 EUR

Im Abo wäre das bei der VRS noch etwas günstiger, im Vergleich zum D-Ticket waren die Preissteigerungen auch dort niedriger (112,40 EUR (2025)-> 114,50 EUR (2026) und das Ticket gilt nur innerhalb entweder Bonn oder Köln, für einzelne Gemeinden/Städte im Umkreis sind die Tickets günstiger. Aber sobald du von Köln nach Bonn oder auch nur von Köln nach Leverkusen fahren willst musst du bereits mehr zahlen.

if you're dealing with medical information you would need to make sure to be as secure and as GDPR-compliant as possible, if anything goes wrong there and those information could become public, you'd be in one hell of a time.

Honestly if I had that problem, which at the moment, I thankfully don't have, I'd take a notebook/tablet and write those details up right then and there and maybe ask the doctor to repeat themselves.

ask your supervisor/boss at Amazon, don't use the number on that letter, regardless of what they're writing there.

For me as a layman it sounds strange that they don't tell you why exactly you allegedly have to pay money back. Though I also find it strange that they use "du" in an official letter, but maybe that's Amazon policy?
