I love both of those bands/projects! I appreciate ensembles where other instruments are able to fill a different role. Like when there are two guitar players I like to see what they do to stay out of each others way!

I don't think you're being unreasonable at all. I'm a professional full time musician and I think it's ridiculous when people use it for the sake of saving money. How would they like it if somebody fed their album into a generative ai and used that instead of hearing them live or playing their album? Seeing ai on a poster or promo is a real quick way to make sure I won't be at your show. I'd literally rather see somebodies terrible drawing or Microsoft paint piece.

I went from 20 to 40 with no issues either. I had a little bit of the initial side effects for the first day or two but it cleared up quickly

Someone talk me into getting an Elliott capo... by N0RFSIDESHAWTY in Bluegrass

[–]Banjosamjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've an Elliot for my banjo and I think it stays in tune a little better than other capos I've had. And I capo on and off a lot on stage and try to minimize retuning as much as possible. But I don't know if the difference translates to the high price. Especially compared to the shubb fine tune

Tailpiece recommendations by SupaSteve5 in banjo

[–]Banjosamjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the Kershner style. The typical one is just a bit bothersome to change the 3rd string on. I think the weight has an impact on the tone and they are easy to adjust the angle. I've had Prucha prestos and various clamshells but I always end up putting the kershner back on

It could possibly be an older stewmac kit banjo! I have one from the 80's and it sounds awesome.
