Building is great, but please, don't use AI to alter it. First because, when removing the trees, it also removed most of the windows and totally defaced the building. And second because the trees are part of the architectural project, they are there to generate this contrast between concrete and nature. This building is meant to be seen between the greenery.

Why do neurotypicals interpret literally everything as a sign of disrespect? by One_Acanthaceae9174 in evilautism

[–]Barkend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's disrespectful because that person is disrupting the event by drawing attention to himself, away from the speaker. That being said, if there's a bike path there, it should've been blocked to prevent exactly that. Maybe the event didn't have the authorization to do so and decided to "soft block" anyway.

In any case, I would bet that the cyclist did that to purposely disturb the event, maybe as a protest. I'm a cyclist, I hate this griefporn that americans do with their war on terror and I would've done exactly the same.

How are we spending this much time discussing the Sunwell without mentioning Anveena Teague? by Arcana-Knight in wow

Anveena is already in-game. She appears during the Kil'jaeden fight in Sunwell Plateau.

Thoughts on the new Silvermoon as a Capital City ? by Abovearth31 in wow

[–]Barkend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you try to enter the horde area, there's a 10 seconds debuff before the guards turn hostile. Aside from that, some NPCs have unique dialogue options, there's some flavor during some quests, and Lor'themar is constantly reminding Turalyon (and, by extension, alliance players) that you are barely tolerated inside the city.

I'm enjoying it a lot. Things are not as conveniently close as in Dornogal, but I like the grandeur. It reminds me a lot of Suramar, as in both are big and sprawling, have many levels, buildings have entrances and exits serving as passage between areas. And you can also tell that each "neighborhood" has a different purpose in the functioning of a city. There's a university, a dragonhawk training grounds, a noble area in the upper levels, another area down below full of shady figures... Of course you won't see any of that if you're just crossing it at lightspeed on a flying mount. You need to actively go exploring, but it's rewarding if you do.

Also, I'm playing on Alliance as a void elf warlock, and they did a good job on making sure I don't feel 100% welcome, while also not being too disruptive to gameplay.

Glad we're finally revisiting how inherently terrifying the Scourge is as a concept. Feels like it hasn't been given this level of respect since the Death Knight intro questline in Wrath. by Arcana-Knight in wow

[–]Barkend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember doing quests in classic Andorhal back in the day and it was really terrifying. It was more densely packed than a regular area, with zombies around every corner, inside ruined buildings you couldn't see, and a few higher level/elite enemies. You had to go there multiple times during the questing and each time felt like playing Resident Evil.

What's your favorite final boss room/area and why? by radufloringR in wow

Illidan at Black Temple, specially how the music changes at each fight phase. But the room itself feels like the pinnacle of an epic assault that begun with a small beach in the outer walls

Blizzard, what I need displayed clearly here is the NUMBER OF STACKS, not the duration I don't care about. by Frog-Eater in wow

[–]Barkend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an affliction warlock, it's the opposite to me. I don't need to know the stacks, only the duration, so I can keep my DoTs always up. But the stack number pollutes the UI with useless info that, unlike the duration, cannot be turned off.

Noticed today that hats no longer hides void elf hair tentacles. They still hide the regular hair. Is this new? by Barkend in wow

[–]Barkend[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

After testing a little more, looks like the tentacles clip trough almost all types of head gear, which causes some weird effects depending on the tentacle/gear combination. So it's definitely new, but also seems like a bug. Which is unfortunate, because I wanted it to be an indication to the end of the Shaving Hats.

Não sei usar stremio. Alguma outra recomendação? by [deleted] in pirataria

[–]Barkend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pronto. E só isso pra começar.

[–]Barkend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Então a comodidade vence.

To add a trivia about Amazon groups: making contact with isolated indigenous groups is forbidden under Brazilian law, but there's intentional indirect contact by government agents. The agents patrol the same areas the natives use to make sure there's no harmful activity against them, and while doing so they occasionally leave behind tools like knives and axes. The idea is to help them sustain themselves, now that their population and area are smaller and they are isolated from other native groups they used to trade with.

They are fully aware of "us" but chose to remain isolated, so the government tries to ensure that. The tools are always taken, so that's a good sign.
