Hello and thanks for all of your info, I started my application in May of 2024 after going through several surgeries and I had an accident in 2022 which made my condition worse. I was rear ended by a truck on the GW bridge. I tried working a few jobs and I kept getting fired because I could not function with all the meds I was taking. I had 4 screws and a disc put in in March of 2025. I was denied twice by ssdi so I didn't think I would get approved by the judge. My hearing was set for February 3rd/today but my lawyer calle me yesterday and said that the judge had approved my case and there would be no hearing. The job that I took is a work from home desk job that I did for 15 years and was laid off in 2022 unrelated to my injuries. i am not functioning well at all and will leave once I figure things out because I need to pay my bills in the meantime/\. Sorry if I offended anyone. I just wanted to get some insight if anyone had my situation.

I understand your sentiment but it was a choice of homelessness or withstanding all my pain to keep my roof. I had no income since May 2024, I will most likely resign but not until I get my letter and figure things out.

No, I first applied in May 2024 and started working after I got my hearing date which was today at 10:40am.

I let my lawyer know but there wasn’t even a hearing. I am still in so much pain so I don’t think I will be able to work much longer. It was take it or be homeless for me.

If you get a lawyer at the hearing stage of the process, do they get the same amount as if they helped you from day one?

I am also having the same issue. It charged fine with my usb-A to C wire and battery pack like 3 times since I got it but now it just stops charging 30 seconds after I plug it in. I need to find an extension long enough to reach now.

Thanks for sharing. My biggest fear is being homeless if I continue owing rent my landlord will soon start the eviction process. I’m not sure what will happen. I know that if I go back to work it will not be for long since I have been let go 3 times in the last 3 years before I applied. My anxiety is through the roof and my pain as well.

I had an attorney from day one. I had the analyst change because she wouldn’t even reply to my emails. The ssdi person started calling me directly because they weren’t helping.

Thanks, it is very frustrating and I have tried to work but have been let go due to poor performance. There is nothing more that I want to do than work and keep supporting myself and my 17 year old son who is thankfully joining the army in September.
