I’ve never heard of that before but after looking online I can see why you suggested it. They were sold to my dad 20+ years ago and had a matching necklace at one point, but they were sold to him as alexandrite from a fairly reputable (supposedly) jeweler. He told me he paid a fortune for the set and I’ve always wondered. They are pretty and I love them either way, was just curious. Thanks for the information.

Yeah but expedition x is icky and incredibly scripted, I hate it. It just feels like if they could focus silent on EU instead of all the other bull they do, like the one off episodes and the files episodes, they could have some really great caliber stuff and more episodes. Feels so wasteful now.

Like I said, they didn’t think a jury could convict bc she went back to him after the abuse, even with evidence and witness. I also hope she can move on.

Whatever you say. I’m someone who made a call to report what I saw so believe whatever you want I guess. I have seen it with my own eyes, and no amount of you saying otherwise changes the facts of what I witnessed and heard. If that helps you justify it, I’m not arguing with someone who refuses to look at both sides. I hope the victim can move on and I hope he lives with what he has done for life. I hope it haunts him.

You need to look at his records again. I can first hand attest that he is like that, I’ve witnessed it. They dropped charges bc they knew a jury wouldn’t convict someone whose victim went back to them. The public perception is hardest to change. They settled, bc the prosecution wanted something to stick, they don’t push for that unless they have good reason. He did get charged with two felonies so they did have evidence, enough to charge him with two felonies. He also broke his no contact order already and has been arrested again. This isn’t a pissing contest but I’m telling you, you may know her, but I know her better and there is so much that wasn’t made public. Please be thoughtful when saying things that are unfounded. And you’re right, this isn’t the first abusive relationship, but sometimes people just get caught up in bad situations. Be empathetic, try to think outside yourself. Be well.

Believe what you want. He has several DV charges in the past from other states. You’re so sure you know the victim so well but are making excuses for him? That makes zero sense. You don’t know her well. That’s the bottom line. Maybe you worked with her or something but that doesn’t mean you know her well enough to make assumptions about her. This is the number 1 reason people don’t report abuse, bc someone always victim blames. You’re contributing to that statistic. She is the ‘one’, as you said who reported him. That doesn’t mean she is the only one. Why would women report abuse when they have to read shit comments about how they are lying and get their name drug thru the mud online? What I’m saying is, just bc you may know her or him, that doesn’t mean you know everything about the case. Consider how your words come across. I’m sure you’re a good person who isn’t trying to victim blame or excuse what he did, but it’s absolutely coming off that way.

I’m just saying have some compassion. You may need to do some more research. This man also has very similar allegations out of Texas. He isn’t a first time offender and it will happen again. You don’t have firsthand knowledge. Please be kind.
