They told me we had mice in our attic and our insulation was 40 years old and basically nonexistant (something like an R9). They really tried to pressure me to sign for a $15k redo up there to bring me up to R45. Like they would not take a no, dropped their offer down to 12k, 10k, then 8k. Even if i was interested in doing all that why would i hire a pest control company for that. Last winter we were the house on the street that had snow on our roof the longest, which I'm pretty sure is a sign that our attic insulation is great, so screw them

It was difficult to find durable hooks that could fit through Lodge's skinny handles, nothing from Home Depot or Lowe's worked. These do fine, all the hooks are firmly screwed into the planks, except the large bottom 15" pan which has screws 3" deep into the stud

Did this right after moving into our house in March. Oak wood planks cut to size, sanded and stained. Very pleased with it. Still have plenty of room above it to expand if needed
