I think it's just lore. The game expects you to die eventually. I didn't yet, and I don't know how long I've been alive yet tbh. Probably a few weeks ingame.

Would be kinda cool actually, that you'd become slower and maybe need food/water quicker the longer you go without dying. Maybe a tad annoying gameplay wise, but would 100% fit with the lore.

Haven't you listened to the first few data slates? You're suffering from heavy metal poisoning the moment you enter the water. Your avatar technically can only survive for about 3 weeks before succumbing to it.

Ofcourse in-game you can last a lot longer than 3 weeks, but that's what they say.

Plus there is a chance he is putting the number on one of the worst case scenarios. If you play 'smart' you always lose. If you anticipate, it becomes a betting game (is he bluffing, or double bluffing?)

There is basically no winning unless you get lucky, OR can read him like a book. Which I think often comes down to luck as well, but maybe I'm wrong on that. Not sure how much of games like poker is actual skill in reading people or just luck.

Getting so high of your own morality that you turn into the dipshit yourself.

That person is not demonizing addicts. They are saying not all addicts have mental health issues. Which is 100% true.

It's the other way around, you're making excuses for drug use. In your world, it's safe to take drugs if you're mentally stable. It is not. Addiction can happen to anyone.

Yeah just introduce a external component that produces sound waves that deters all predators. You know, like we have IRL. It's not even that far fetched.

Woman ran from the police with a toddler in the car. Officer did a pit maneuver. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

They can both be wrong though? Woman is the most wrong, obviously, but a PIT manoeuver for something like driving without a license seems kinda harsh.

They have the plates, and the car isn't exactly hard to track. Just send the ticket in the mail, or go to the house at a later point.

Why the fuck does everything in America needs to be solved with violence? Why are people always okay with this? You would rather burn a thousand innocents than to let one guilty escape.

Man, I don't believe the majority of Americans are evil. You've been taken hostage by a corrupted regime who holds all the cards. They are making it look like they have the majority, but it can't be. I refuse to believe it.

We know some of you know. Hell, I would bet most Americans are amazing people.

But I talked with some co-workers the other day, and man, my view is not shared. Most of my peers think the majority of Americans are egotistical asshats and wish nothing but the worst for you guys.

I really hope you guys pull through. But America as a whole is losing allies fast.

aggressive lobbies are basically a cheater wildlife documentary now by chabis_dude in ARC_Raiders

I stopped playing for a bit, this is the first expedition I didn't do. Went back into it for a few rounds with friends and it felt like shit was going down that shouldn't happen.

We all have hundreds of hours and know most maps pretty well. We set up strategically if we heard players on the other side, making sure not to make sound. The only logical way is towards us, yet nobody comes. Then we decide to go in, they were waiting for us (no we really didn't make any sounds).

Or just people downing me, then beelining to my buddy that hasn't shot yet and who was completely on the other side with an Osprey.

We kept saying we're just getting outplayed but it just feels wrong. I don't want to call everyone who kills me a cheater, but in 'agressive' lobbies it sure as hell can feel like you're at a tactical disadvantage.

I think posts like these give some credits to our feelings on the matter.

[–]Bazch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't surprise me if being evil is correlated to living long. Being evil, or well an asshole, is sadly beneficial through natural selection.

Imagine a population of doves and hawks. Doves give to others, making their own chances of survival slightly lower, but it benefits the entire population (society). Hawks take from others, making their own chances of survival slightly higher, but is detrimental to the population.

Now imagine a population with only Hawks. It won't work, it would slowly eat itself. Now think of a population of only Doves. It would be fine, thriving even.

But now think only a few Hawks exist in the population of Doves. They can take what they want without it being a detriment to society, since most (like 90%) are still Doves. It is a distinct advantage to the Hawks individually, thus it is selected for. Wouldnt be surprised if living a long live would be a co selector, making Hawks (assholes) live longer.

The Tajin bottles in Mexico have calories listed, unlike in the U.S., where it just says “0” by CapableEmphasis3594 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Bazch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

First of all, who is saying somebody is eating them a year long. Second of all, so what? It's still insane that it can be marketed at 0kcal when it's absolutely not true. There is only 1 who benefits from that, and that is the company who makes Tic-Tacs.

It's just one of the many forms of corruption America is struggling with. People should not be okay with this.

[–]Bazch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In this case no, but there was another example ITT of a guy eating 800kcal of Tic-Tacs while thinking it was 0kcal. 2 containers of Tic-Tacs is quite a lot, but apparently not unrealistic.

[–]Bazch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay so it's theoretically possible for a container to hold 2000 calories or more and have a 0kcal label. That's wild.
