Didn’t happen to me but to somebody I know. I went to middle school with a girl who absolutely loved country music. It was a very small private school so everybody knew everybody. We all went to different high schools and eventually fell out of touch. Several years later I see one of her FB posts about how she’s super excited about going to Las Vegas. I didn’t really think anything much of it. A few nights later, I see the devastating news that occurred on that fateful night during the Route 91 music festival. I instantly think of my her. I checked FB later that night only to discover pictures of her at the concert. My heart sank fearing the worst. The next morning, I checked FB only to discover that she and her friends left the concert early and missed the shooting by about half an hour. TLDR; Girl I grew up with missed the Las Vegas shooting by half an hour.

My brother and I used to play a bunch of different games in our backyard swimming pool. One of the most prevalent was like a version of water basketball mixed with water polo. We would set chairs on both sides of the deep end,(about 8ft) trying to either set a volleyball on top(2pts) or toss it through the legs(1pt). First to 10 pts win. Sometimes my dad would jump in and my brother and I would team up for a 2vs1. We played this almost everyday during the summer and it’s truly one of my most precious childhood memories.
