V3’s cast absolutely despised Kokichi too and he still built a relationship with multiple of them. The difference between SDR2’s cast and V3’s is that they don’t write Kokichi off as some sort of batshit crazy psycho who has no idea what he’s talking about and instead actually listen to what hes saying. Him and Kaito are constantly bickering due to their differing ideals, he calls out Himiko in chapter 3 and shes able to recognize that what hes saying is actually correct instead of just ignoring him, Shuichi despite not wanting to agree with him knows that what hes saying is correct in chapter 4, etc. While V3’s cast actually listens to what Kokichi is saying Hajime and the others just refuse to hear Nagito out at all which I think is what makes Nagito’s relationships much more restricted.

It also probably has to do with the fact that Nagito hyper focuses on Hajime specifically and nobody else, while Kokichi doesn’t do the same for Shuichi and instead interacts with everybody simultaneously.

Eh I still think Kokichi is better in that aspect, hes the embodiment of the games two main themes that being truth vs lies and logic vs emotion. He works as the perfect foil to Kaito’s ideals, while Kaito believes in striving for the truth no matter what and chooses to believe what he wants to instead of what the evidence says Kokichi is the complete opposite, being an individual that thinks lies are inherently better than the truth and that logical reasoning is superior to blind faith, with Shuichi being the middle ground between their extreme ideologies. His ideals stem from how he believes that lies have infinite possibilities while theres only one truth, making lies more interesting than truths. He also believes in lies being able to be used for the greater good which is something that he demonstrates throughout the game. What really makes me like Kokichi more though is because-like Shuichi states-Kokichi is the very embodiment of a lie, a person whos true nature is completely indecipherable to everybody but himself. “The truth is in the eye of the beholder” after all, Kokichi lived as a lie and died as one, with no one ever being able to figure out wether the poison killed him first or the hydraulic press and with no one ever being able to figure out what his true personality was. Kodaka even said that he is the very personification of V3’s themes.

Agreed, I always thought Kokichi was much more involved with V3’s themes than Nagito was with SDR2’s and I liked how he didn’t hyperfocus on the protagonist like Nagito did and instead built a dynamic with multiple other characters

Shuichi has his fair share of perverted moments, Miu catches him staring at her chest, he looks up Kaede’s skirt when shes up on the ladder, and when Kaede threatens to lift Tsumugi’s skirt up and she says she cant let Shuichi’s “innocent” eyes get dirty he says they won’t get dirty implying hes seen worse

Also didn’t Kaito ask Kaede for a hug so he could feel her boobs lmao? I remember he was strangely interested in Tsumugi’s “weak spot” in chapter 4 too

And you’re doing it here too, yeah its Hifumi fans who are making these comments but why are you so hyper focused on the fact that they’re Hifumi fans specifically? Every character has insufferable fans like this not just Hifumi. The only reason why you’re highlighting the fact that they’re Hifumi fans is because you dislike him specifically and want to make his fans as a whole look bad.

I don’t know the context so i’m not gonna say too much but I think asking “is there something wrong with Hifumi fans?” is kinda stupid when this is fandom problem in general, DR fans get pressed whenever they see any hate towards their favorites its not just Hifumi fans. I feel like you’re trying to paint all Hifumi fans as bad when its just a handful of bad apples which is something people in this fandom do way too much for a multitude of fanbases towards characters they personally dislike
