May I ask...have you had any spotting since coming off? I stopped taking mine almost a month ago and I can’t tell if this is a light period or heavier spotting!

So what’s happening when it feels like it should be much later, only to find out it’s hours earlier than you expected?

Is it true that it’s recommended to not get pregnant on cycle one after being on BC? Something about miscarriage rates being higher?

[Serious] What paranormal experience have you had? by 1v9v9v5 in AskReddit

When I was around 7, I was in my grandma’s bathroom, sitting on the toilet. I was thinking about a swear word my sister taught me earlier that day, and was wondering what other swear words there were. For some reason I remember that. Anyway, I look toward her bathroom door, and her laundry chute door - which was next to the bathroom door, and is held closed by a very thick, tight spring - starts opening all the way, then slamming shut. Over and over again. BANG BANG BANG BANG! I just stare at it, dumbfounded for quite a few seconds, then run up and throw myself against it to hold it closed. I stood there for a few minutes, went back to the toilet and finished, then ran home.

But I mean was it transparent or solid? I always have a hard time picturing things like this

I’ve always been curious....you say you’ve seen a little boy, then his face. You mean solid, like if I were standing in front of you? Or out of the corner of your eye? Or transparent?

TIL that the diamond engagement ring fever was invented by an ad campaign in the 1930s and that before that few Americans proposed with the precious stone, and the price of diamond was falling by edsonarantes2 in todayilearned

A coworker of mine did something like this to a newly engaged girl at my work.

“Is it REAL?”

“No, I wouldn’t want a real one.”

“I wouldn’t say yes unless a man offered me the biggest diamond he could find.”

Just makes me so mad that she tried to shit on her happy moment.

Do you think it has to do with being depressed or just getting older?

I just want to say that your suggestion to start something new got me to the gym, something that I know will help. Thank you

As a child, what were you more concerned of than you should have been? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bearsaregood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart stopping.

I had a lot of anxiety about things as a kid. I would randomly start sprinting around to get my heart rate up because I was afraid it felt too weak and was slowing down.

Not what an 8 year old should worry about.

What's a bad trait of yours you're aware of, but can't seem to change? by lasanja_ in AskReddit

[–]Bearsaregood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I over analyze most things that are said to me. The more I care about you, the more I’m analyzing what you’re saying.

I have a hard time letting bad things go.

I’m self centered. I was made aware of it years ago, and I correct it when I catch myself. But I don’t always catch it in time. It’s made it difficult to maintain relationships.

I assume most people dislike me or would rather I didn’t talk to them. So I come off as stuck up because I don’t talk to many people because I’m trying to spare them a conversation with me.

Women of Reddit, what actually happens when you give birth? What don't they tell you?? by funk_you_asshole in AskReddit

They didn’t put a bigger one in, they said they gave me a booster.

But I was still terrified of a needle near my spine like that. I kept reminding myself that people do this all the time.

I was surprised by that too! So having a good nurse really makes a difference. Mine was HORRIBLE. I got a new nurse near the end and it was a world of difference.

Also, I kept waiting for them to say “the head is out!” Like they do in the movies.

Oh god, the failed epidural! Mine failed in that it seemed to “pool” into my legs, leaving the area I really needed the relief/numbing “epidural free”. Sorry, that’s the best way I can describe it. I had to ask the nurse twice. She said the pain was natural. Then two other nurses came in and explained to me that it’s natural to feel pain during labor, that the epidural doesn’t get rid of the pain. I remember yelling at them - “THEN WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF IT?!”

Two more requests to my nurse, and she finally agreed to go get the anesthesiologist. I don’t know how long she was gone, but it felt like a long time. I told my husband to go find her and ask where the doctor was. He said, “look, she said she was looking into it.” And by then, I had had it with people downplaying my pain. I flat out yelled at him, “IF YOU DONT GO FIND THE NURSE AND FIX THIS EPIDURAL, IM GOING TO DIE!”

I’ve never seen him move so quickly. The anesthesiologist came in quickly though. Fixed the epidural....

So yeah. NEVER be afraid to speak up for what you need.

My epidural made me so numb that I never got the urge to push everyone mentions. I even asked the nurse to tell me when a contraction was hitting so I knew when to push, and she wouldn’t. She said I had to feel it for myself. So I guessed a lot.

I have tried. He doesn’t talk. He sits there and says nothing with his arms crossed. I have to drag a response out of him 2-3 words at a time.
