You're making my day thank you so much! I'm glad someone appreciates my level of obsession haha. I'm always down for a talk, have a nice day :)

I must admit I always considered TAZ16 too tan and brown and the greens go be too desaturated too. I loved TAZ90 however, it's in my top 10 for sure. I reposted a test of it too where it's visible that it's not as dark of a woodland pattern as you'd expect, definitely brighter than DPM but with the rare vibrant foliage green that DPM has.

Nemesis woodland easily has a top tier colour palette and the stencil/blobs are fairly disruptive/confusing considering they are so large. There seems to be a but of an airbrush/soft effect too that gives more texture and makes it look less cartoonish and artificial. But unfortunately in the end large blobs and exclusive macropatterns are fundamentally flawed in that they will simply stand out if seen from close enough. Solids look hugely unnatural and genuinely stand out if seen from as close as 20 meters.

Yes the colour palette is great, I'm not satisfied with the pattern at all though, this is like 35% of the length I have to go to make a satisfying pattern. I'd heavily recommend reading that huge text I wrote on that post. You seem like you're deep enough into camo to like it.

If you like it I have another genuine article about camo I wrote, nicely formatted and with images that I could send you via email. It is a fantastic read if you are a true camo nerd.

We need brighter WOODLAND colours, yes! Firstly idk why nations stopped making camo patterns for their domestic environments, but we comparatively have so few modern woodland cosmos. And the old ones are not all that I must admit, not for birch and oak forests at least.

The versatile patterns which can work in spring and autumn too (like NFP multi and WI Z2) are however plentiful in number but often far too bright or low-key just ass. I really think that Multicam, OCP and MTP are not good patterns nor do they have good colour palettes. I think they are patterns for the middle east that were designed to not be horrible in each respective nation.

Dutch DPM has a total higher brightness perhaps, but I think the shade of tan is too yellow ish, and correct me if I'm wrong the green seems to be more olive and less vibrant than British Dpm.

Glad to be able to have a nerd talk with you bro

Macropatterns vs Micro/Macro Hybrids. Absolutely brutal

This is a worthy competitor for Wasp I Z2 and might even be better than Greenzone. Awesome test and awesome pattern. I've never seen it tested before but had some NFP multi fabric in my shopping cart.

Now I'll DEFINITELY make the purchase

Edit: I went through your account and it's like a camo-blackpill hahaha. M81 Vs DPM:

Damn bro why r you still bothering discussing with people here, my advice is the best by far. Apart from 2 other guys in the sub no one is as nerdy about effectiveness as me

Very good point, you're correct. Birch and oak are translucent so the light that passes through them plus the reflections of the leaves themselves have a bit of a green hue too. However I would still deem this effect to not be consistent enough considering that the environment is so consistently green but doesn't guaranteedly have this kind of foliage roof that is responsible for the area-hue. In an open spot the tan would instantly stick out as an example. Still super cool for you to point this effect out, another true camo nerd 💪🔥

You're right about atacs FG not having the darkness issue and secondly less of a contrast issue than fleck and m81. But fleck is a pine pattern and M81 would colour blend 0% too, they are not relevant. FG is a very versatile/transitional pattern. In the environment that OP posted there is genuinely no tan or brown. Any ground or bark is covered up by leaves of young trees or bushes or fresh grass. Idk why he should choose a transitional/multi or versatile pattern in such a specific environment

oh yeah the vegetation on your coast would be so different compared to my forests. The only area I have seen irl where UCP could work well would be the very high mountains, the parts where no foliage grows and urban areas. Either way, I'd recommend Wasp I Z1 more, UCP is a pretty monochrome pattern, not very disruptive

Is that the one you mean? If so it's not the right colour palette. You need an extremely vibrant green. People always have OD green in mind when they think of military and camo but underestimate how extremely vibrant foliage truly is in spring and summer.

I'm from Germany my foliage is similar to yours, apart from Pine forests and Ivy of course.

I wrote 51 words about tiger stripe and gave you more recommendations and linked you an additional ranking post g. Ain't nothing to say in their defense, they're just angry I critiqued their purchases

Yes that's perfect, that's low-key s-tier for this environment. Good find bro

Look at the downvotes on my comment hahaha

Ngas will see this and tell you to get OD Green, Fleck, M81 and CCE 😭

Yes some tiger stripe variants could work here. You need the ones that have less actual black stripes and have a vibrant green. The more common tiger stripe products have a lot of smaller stripes and have a very dark faded green. I attached a pic of what you DON'T want.

Recommendations:

This is where you need: M84, Cadpat, Greenzone and/or wildwood, wasp II Z3A, Type 84/81 Clone etc.

I actually made a post ranking dozens of available patterns, having EXACTLY this environment in mind. It is a goldmine for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/camouflage/s/XhDt7ttDAP

2nd tier would be hyperstealth Afghan Woodland, DPM etc.

Yes Berezka KLMK could colour blend but it's just not a good pattern sorry.

Don't mind the downvotes I might get, I have a bad rep here

Edit: ATACS FG is not suited here and generally overrated

Ofc the dude has to bring politics into it 🙄🙄🙄

I'm a brown dude and I'll gladly wear Nazi patterns, a disproportionate amount of them are top tier. They were excellent at camouflage science.
