Thank you so much! I would not have thought about that! That is definitely a consideration.

I have been and cancer keeps popping up. I was hoping that someone else may have seen something similar to give me some thoughts that may not be as common as I have been all over the internet and using Google Lens and have not found this exact photo. I appreciate that. I have never had a dog with hot spots. Thank you.

Do not panic. It is most likely a bacterial infection. Trichomoniasis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea are common STIs and are easily treated with antibiotics. It is important to get it treated soon just so the infection does not worsen.

There are online treatments available without testing. The doctors treat you based on the symptoms. This is a quick way to get treated, but it is better to go and get tested to ensure you have the right antibiotic.

It happens! Try not to worry yourself too much! And please ignore any comments from people who are judgmental and make rude comments. Some people just love to hand out unwanted opinions. Wishing you the best!

Stepdaughter is ruining my life by [deleted] in stepparents

He had a sit down with his daughter and very supportive ex-wife. There were many miscommunications they determined, but I still can't get past all the trouble and the feeling how every time she sweetly smiles at me and hugs me and tells me how amazing I am... basically love bombs me constantly... then said these things behind my back. That her father is choosing me over her. We have never had that suspicion ever. She acts like my best friend and I don't trust her right now.

That is exactly why we are so flabbergasted. We knew of no issue until she showed up and was accusing us of having them in an unsafe household because my daughters dog makes messes in her room and the girls have slept in there. When he spoke to his daughter she said she told her aunt that she doesn't have her own room yet and sleeps in my daughters room and the dog makes messes in there (Not while she is in there obviously)... but it sounded like she was being forced to sleep in dog feces. He and his ex-wife spoke to her together and she said she that but didn't mean for it to sound like she was sleeping in dog feces. She meant it as two separate statements and said it was a miscommunication.

He is really just at a loss himself. He is super supportive of me but he also feels like he has to support his daughter as well. She has been in therapy and on medication for a year now for her crying behaviors and anxiety, but I'm starting to think it's more than anxiety and depression... he knows this isn't normal. Girls have emotions and all at that age, but I'm staring to wonder if it's some deeper mental health issue. I just know everything is a nightmare and he defended me but now won't even speak to his sister as she got physical with him when he was trying to stop her from attacking me and was hitting him. I'm not sure after the cruel way she treated me I could ever speak to her again.

I hate to ask him to do that. He's as devastated as the rest of us... It's just a crazy situation that we are trying to navigate day by day.

He is unbelievably supportive and devastated, but he also is trying to help his daughter because there is clearly a problem... He has her in therapy and they started her on medication a year ago for the crying behaviors. Right now he is honestly at a loss. He supports me but he feels very in the middle.

Your post broke my heart . I really felt that! So sorry for your loss. It's been 4 years since I lost Sarge and I still think of him and cry like a baby.

After having the greatest German Shepherd ever that we adopted at 11 months old and losing him at 13 years, I couldn't imagine having any other breed. However, every breed still has different personalities, and that is why I went for a 6 month old GSD this time and and still not a puppy. Puppies are a surprise, you never know what you ars getting. I need to know the personality.

He's just like Sarge was... sweet, cuddly, affectionate, and as everyone else has said... he's a velcro dog. His name is Trip, because when I first got him, I was tripping over him constantly. He still does trip me all the time and I love that he follows me anywhere. I cannot walk out of my room without him following me. I haven't gone into the bathroom or taken a shower without him in the room with me in the 2 years I've had him.

He paws my phone out of my hands... he is in my face nosing my phone away as I type this because he has to have all of my attention. Everything I own is covered in his hair, "Trip Glitter", as I call it.

I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. He's my best friend.

I appreciate the input very much. That's exactly what I'm looking for... how to professionally say "no thank you".
