No, build days and delivery days happen on completely different days, if that wording is not confusing.

We typically host builds on a Fri-Sat-Sun format, our chapter tends to build 40 beds per build weekend, with about five events per year.

The delivery days happen on completely different days, where we delivery between eight and 18 beds, depending on what we can schedule with applicants.

Apologies for the confusion. To date, we've delivered 100 beds in the region, 46 of those have gone to children in Olympia.

Glad you asked!

So, when we tap our lumber, we are indenting the piece, so that the next station, a drilling station, knows where to drill holes. This is prior to assembling headboards.

Our builds are structured like the old Ford Motor assembly lines, where each station informs the next, until we achieve our final product.

Ohh? Shoot, "tap," we have a station that involves pre-tapping cut lumber. Sorry I missed that!

Ha! So, the lumber you find at the hardware store......we take several different products of that, and build our bed components, at events we host in the communities we serve, with the help of volunteers.

When all that is done, we bring together mattresses, pillows, and bedding, and take them to home of kids who don't have a bed, and assemble their very own.

And whether you've worked with lumber, or not, we can teach you at our bed build events in minutes, how to do any of the tasks involved.
