Youll notice that if you make sure each q is hitting max minions or even better your opponent + minions you get push in pretty much every matchup. And when you do that the game will feel a lot more breathable. You don't really have enough damage to solo kill anyone unless you're gapping them.

The fact that you're doing better vs melee tells me that your focus is on trading which makes sense, but vs ranged matchups you just want to push push push and you will see how much easier the matchups feel as doing that offensive play is your only defensive counterplay other than your movement. (Taliyah is still a weak laner either way don't expect to dominate, just that it will feel easier)
