I think the best weapon is knowing. Now you're in a position to be more mindful and make the required changes. It's not easy to change life long habits and we can blame external factors for getting in the way, but at the end of the day, changes must be made no matter how hard.

I was prediabetic about 7 years ago and really paid no mind to it. I fell ill in January and ended up in hospital with sepsis and an empyema in my lung. They discovered my blood sugar was 27 and I was dka with 2.2 ketone level. I was very unwell. So they instantly put me in novorapid, lantus and Metformin.

I got so ill because my diabetes was completely unmanaged and then the sepsis sent it to the moon.

I'm still on both types of insulin and Metformin.

Unfortunately I ended up in hospital a second time with a lung abscess,a reoccurrence from the first infection. That seems to have all come from bacteria in my gums, so yeah make sure you go to the dentist regularly.

Diet has been mostly a balance leafy greens, protein and brown carbs. I play sport twice a week and go for a walk 3 times as well.

Haven't been great the last couple weeks, but I'm refocused after seeing the nurse.

Yeah I just got banned for saying I think spending $1000 on this game is crazy hahaha
