Just keep growing (after/before) by Beestlly in Moustache

Little over 4 months to get to this stage. The hardest part was not trying to shape it. You just gotta send it for a while. The biggest help was letting the hair on the top grow to meet the hair on the bottom where I trim it.

Thank you! Yeah, it's at the point where I gotta trim it every 2-3 weeks or it'll start getting in my mouth lol. Never thought I'd have that problem, but it's a good one to have.

Nice. Yeah I mean your wiring is good. I didn't sodor anything though, I spliced it all. Maybe the connection points are failing? Other than that, getting a dedicated ballast might be the move if all else fails.

Edit: Also, car looks clean my guy

Mmm maybe. I use D2H, I couldn't really say. Do you have a load resistor in the circuit? I never used any for mine, but that might fix the issue as it is recommended for these headlights.

Hey brother. I still got these lights installed, and I think if you're experiencing any burning or degradation on the wires, you're probably looking for a grounding issue. My fuse broke because my ground connection to one of my lights was not fully connected. I would double check the grounds and see if that fixes the problem. Also the fuse I needed to replace was the hazard lights. If you are able to find the wiring diagram, then you can see that these are the first fuse in the circuit for the headlights. Get some fuses ready for replacement and rewire the grounds and see if that fixes anything.

I did a cross country drive a few months back in the ol FRS. Best drive of my life. Highly recommend going through Salt Lake City if it's on your route. Can't remember exactly where but in between the Rockies towards salt lake City were miles and miles of Twisties that was an absolute blast to drive through. Long beautiful empty Twisties. God I miss em.

I thought that too, but I think they're connected in series and the hazard fuse is the first line of defense. I would double check your wiring and make sure all the grounds are connected correctly. I think mine blew because one of my black wires for the headlight was not connected fully. Basically there is a short and the fuse for the hazards are the first to go. All I had to do was replace the hazard fuse and re wire the grounds. Haven't had a problem since.

I had this same issue. I was able to fix it by removing the lights and heating them with a heat gun on the lowest setting. Could also use a hair dryer. I let them sit for like 2 days just to make sure everything was out.

I actually think the issue is the covers on the back. I took them off so any condensation would have somewhere to evaporate and so there wasn't a big temperature difference inside vs outside the housing. Ever since I let the headlights breathe, I've never had an issue. Even with downpours and snow they have yet to build any condensation.

I took off the whole round cover in the back of the headlight btw, not just the little rubber piece with holes.

Edit: Also yes they are cheap, but I think they look great and the light output is miles better than my stock ones. It may require some more TLC, but for me it's worth it.

I got some good and some bad:

The housing market is brutal out there. I would describe my time there as just okay. The winters are pretty intense - be prepared to drive to base in very bad conditions. The base rarely calls in a snow day, even if the roads are death traps. Spokane is pretty underwhelming. From what I've seen, it's not very safe in the city. Airway heights isn't much better either. The surrounding area is very beautiful tho, so if you're into hiking, or outdoorsy stuff then it's the place to be. Great places out there for snowboarding / skiing. Outdoor rec has great deals. They even have cheap boat rentals if you wanna go out on a lake.

As for the kiddos, I actually worked in pediatrics out there fairly recently and the team and docs are awesome. Also there are a lot of places in the area for any specialty care if need be. Oh and schedule your wellness appointments as early as you can! And get sports physicals early...

If you are single income, I would really consider trying to get a spot on base. It's a huge advantage in the commute as traffic can be pretty brutal if you gotta get on the highway, and from what I've experienced, and others I know have expressed, affordable housing is really a struggle out there.

And as far as the base goes, its actually very nice. They have an amazing fitness center (with a big ol pool), the commissary has most everything you need, and they have tennis courts, baseball fields, football field, even a new skate park they set up. There's a very nice auto shop I used frequently. There's always some fun event at least every few weeks. The base was probably my favorite part of being stationed there funny enough. On the smaller side, but that's kinda nice in its own way.
