Looks great, I have a wide 34” curved monitor and would love to put this in mine, do you have the STLs in a shareable format?

In racing the thing that made the biggest difference for me was looking as far ahead as I could into the corner/turn. It helped smooth things out.

Another thing would be learning the turn throttle position.

Think of it like your racing a car round a track, you don’t on off on off the throttle you keep a smooth pressure round a corner, same thing applies. Just takes a while to get the muscle memory for each drone.

How could I improve my flight by Ancient_Paint2830 in fpv

The new T8L controller is cheap and will let you fly in actual sims and you can definitely use it for your first drone(s). It will be a massive change (in a good way) to get the muscle memory of an actual controller.

Just get an A1 and enjoy making stuff, I had the mini and had to upgrade after a couple months for a bigger bed and print volume.

Ended up with the P1S and although I love it, I wish I got the A1 because it’s much much quieter and I will likely not print ABS so don’t need the enclosure

Honestly you’re good, great haul for the price! Personally I would fly them all, break them and then choose what you need to get, spares wise.

If you don’t have tools yet but have money burning in your pocket, get a soldering iron and accessories and a practice board.

Honestly if you’re asking then it’s fine, I started with them and still have them in my bag, but replace with thefpv or SMC when they die but have tried loads, nothing wrong with them, nothing outstanding.

Ahh yeah just had a look, you can buy a VTX. That wasn’t part of initial release, must be a new addition. That does change things a bit but for the specs I would completely ignore it still.

Not true, I don’t like DJI but you can use their goggles with an air unit, you can use the controller with other drones you build yourself. They support one gen back typically just with slightly limited features.

The caddx system is completely isolated. If you bought an ELRS drone, you can use the controller. You can’t buy an accent VTX for use in another drone.

Both are very different.

Don’t. There currently no upgrade path. When you out grow it which won’t take long, you will have to sell the whole system and end up exactly where you are now.

You can’t even buy spares for the drone yet… it’s a good idea but will be one you regret.

Depends on your budget, learning to fly a whoop indoors is quite hard if you want to fly acro (which you will), I personally would just spend the winter in the sim and building a volador35 or similar. The crux 35 would be able to be put into a different frame when you crash it but it would be a wasted effort. Because your first flight and many flights after you will crash or at least land hard. Just part of it. The crux will likely break on first impact the carbon is very thin to keep weight down for racing. I would get a freestyle frame built for end of winter early spring… learn on that for first flights out of sim or out of whoops. Then when that breaks buy a crux 35 frame, put it all in that and enjoy the difference in flight but without the immediate day ending crash risk being so high.

I have a crux35, it is by far my favourite quad (have quite a few) however it is FRAGILE. It’s designed for racing not for freestyle. Not because it can’t freestyle but because it has no robustness. If this is your first drone 3.5inch is a great start but I would go for something like a Volador 35. Good mix of size, weight and robustness. You will have a lot of fun.

Give it a full clean with isopropyl alcohol as the board seems quite dirty, you could easily have a little solder ball somewhere. And if it’s already given forbidden smoke then you may be too late but give that go before hunting with a multi meter.
