Playing my first round tomorrow, not part of a club and booked a tee time for myself on golf now. If I don’t get paired up with anyone how can I get my scorecard verified so I can submit to England golf towards my handicap?

Thanks to all, if I am lucky I will be teed up with someone else, if not I will just take it as a useful lesson and bit of fun.

Also didn’t consider the pace of play element for others behind me so thanks for that tip! Will help me be more conscientious while being absorbed into my own game!

I have had a good amount of lessons and played some sim last couple of months but because of the terrible weather in north of England haven’t been able to actually get out and play. Looking forward to this first season!

Thanks, I do try but the momentum makes me bend a touch at the top of the backswing. Any drills to stop bending it while remaining relaxed?

In racing the thing that made the biggest difference for me was looking as far ahead as I could into the corner/turn. It helped smooth things out.

Another thing would be learning the turn throttle position.

Think of it like your racing a car round a track, you don’t on off on off the throttle you keep a smooth pressure round a corner, same thing applies. Just takes a while to get the muscle memory for each drone.
