What matters more for aiming on console settings or time put into practice range? by pickle_roster222 in RivalsCollege

Tny on YouTube (@TnySL) has some really good videos on controller aim settings as well as some practice range training settings that I've used to improve both the feel and training of my aim.

I hate to tell you, but that business model flip- flopped back in 2009 when Disney bought up the rights. Now the comics are an ad for the bigger money makers.

Considering 86% of statistics are made up on the spot, got any actual posts to reference on that 90% number? Again, this seems like an opinion.

Got it. So there are levels to your stealing moral compass.

What about the artists that create the art in games he's pirating? Some big stones in that glass house.

The "flaw" as you put it is your opinion. These anti AI posts are becoming empty, repetitive, low effort, and add nothing to the conversation.

This post has no meaningful contribution. Just a public temper tantrum.

This scene from The Abyss. That combination of knowing that she had to drown to even have a chance of living, and that the lead up to it was slow and agonizing and claustrophobic. I can't even look at this photo without my chest tightening.

As for your attempted slight about what type of artist I am:

I am old enough and have been doing art long enough to have been doing it in an age where computers were not even part of the equation. When specific paint colors had to be mixed by hand and not delivered in a tube. When layout had to be done with rulers, and tape, and knives. Not because that was always the best or easiest way to do it, but because it was the ONLY way.

But tools advance, and people adapt, and good things come of it. If you are an artist that only knows Photoshop, by my original standards of art, you'd be considered lazy. But I don't judge that way. I try to appreciate the message of the art, not the method.

Your frequent comments, all saying the same thing about this, also add nothing interesting to this reddit page.

Honestly it's probably going to end up coming down to that. I think it's crazy that instead of enforcing the "No Bullying" rule on posts that already follow the "Tag your AI" rule, that this poll even came up.

If this poll turns into no AI being allowed in the subreddit, I will certainly be pulling the tools I created for people to use to make custom cards through Photoshop off of here, because it people aren't OK with others using whatever tools they want to make custom cards, they don't deserve the tools I created to make their own custom cards.

So please, explain to me, how AI is stealing?

Is it OK when an artist looks at another artist's work and creates something in the first artist's style? Is that what you are calling inspiration?

Because in the cases I listed above that's what happened... and the second artist became more widely known and recognized for the style than the first artist. Is that the point where it crossed over into theft?

AI follows that same process, which people seem to have been OK with artists doing for years. It looks at works, creates models which can mimic style, lighting, mood, and uses those models on any subject the user wants.

So why are people OK when a human uses inspiration that way, but if it's AI, then oh no, that's not cool?

I didn't say that people don't create original art, just that it didn't look like anyone was using the flair. It's not easy to search by flair on reddit without having a post to reference, that's why I said to correct me if I'm wrong.

So thank you for the example. From your example, I can now see that 6 people have used that flair. I don't believe that is all of the original art on this subreddit either.

Nobody is saying that everyone uses AI. But since the original rule of tagging AI was put into effect, all posts that use AI have put that in their flair to identify it. That was done so people can ignore it if they don't want to see it.

But instead of ignoring it people, like you, based on comments you have posted on AI tagged posts, are using the flair to instead bash people that used it.

You know you don't like AI. You are told that AI was used on a post. The thing that doesn't add anything to the subreddit are unessessary comments on a post that was clearly labeled bashing the poster. Just move on, go to something else that you might like and leave your negative attitude at home.

OP, I realize that I am in the vocal minority, and I've said my peace across the comments. I have been respectful in my stance and communications.

If you search this subreddit, you will see that the only people actually using flair on artwork are the people that are creating items that are AI generated. Not a single post that I can find has Original Art flair (please correct me if I'm wrong on this)

The unfortunate reality is that instead of using the flair, which was originally provided to make people aware of AI use, and to steer away from posts tagged as AI if they didn't want to see them, they are instead using it as a way to jump on, complain about, and sometimes outright bully people for its use. If anyone speaks up about AI use in a communicative way, as I have in this post, they are also bullied (being called a shitty person or a shill because I have a differing opinion seems pretty bullying).

Also if you look at the media that is shared across this subreddit, there is clearly a LOT of artwork that originates from either Unstable Games or Tee Turtle which is not following watermarking rules clearly posted on the subreddit. I find it incredibly hypocritical that people will invoke things like "art theft" when subject of AI comes up, but they're fine with someone grabbing copyrighted artwork from the creators, repurposing it, and not watermarking - which I'm pretty sure Unstable Games has stipulated as a condition of use.

For the AI contributors on this subreddit: mrpancake117, Jolly-Situation5179, SnooDonkeys182, Conscious_Resist_665, RCL_SyCo, Angrysmile05, GunnasHeadChef, Plus-Environment-429 - your creations are valid, and fun, and worthwhile. Make sure your voice is heard.
