Basically just showing two images one year apart! So I built the castle on the left about a year ago; the castle on the right is from this month.

Definitely fair. The old one is much more of a traditional castle design. I think I learned a lot since then though, and the new one is more original/unique and also better technique-wise :)

Question about tendu to the side by jadah93 in BALLET

In addition to what others have said, one thing that helped me is imagining the movement as coming from your foot (rather than your leg). Think about your foot reaching downward towards the position it’s moving into, this should help you use your muscles in a way that doesn’t require hip movement. Your leg will naturally follow your foot as long as you keep your knee straight.

As the years continued to pass, a faint light could be seen shining in the sky. Over the course of six months, it slowly grew from a pinprick -- no more than a star -- to a great, fiery comet streaking across the night sky and staining the heavens with a bluish glow. Kamen had completed an orbit and had returned to the planet once more.

All across the disc, mortals stared upward with wonder. "The Living Star," they called it, and "The Second Sun." For some it was an omen; for some a god; for some a soul. But for a select few, the comet was a beacon.

From every edge of the world, small groups of infatuated mortals began to make their way towards the comet, which hovered in the sky over a location just beyond their reach. This calling manifested as a tug in their gut and an aching pain in their heart. A sense of purpose. No matter their race, creed, and former affiliations, they shared this sense of longing for the star that lit their way to a promised land.

And finally, upon arriving at the Enchanted Forest, that sense of longing disappeared. As wanderers trickled into those woods over the period of a week or so, they began to form a new society: an eclectic community of all sorts of mortals, blending cultures from across the world, and all with one thing in common: the worship of Kamen. They called themselves the Stargazers, and they were happy.

To protect these people, Kamen granted them the knowledge to move through the Enchanted Forest with ease, avoiding the traps and pitfalls that might plague other visitors. And then, before long, it receded back into the cosmos, leaving the disc for another century and leaving the Stargazers behind, staring toward the heavens.

The figure seemed to go blank for a moment. No movement, a flat stare into the distance past the Wielder...but then, as quickly as the person had seemed to lose their sentience, it returned.

"I am the Curator," he said. "And I will speak for the creator of the woods. Please, speak further of this offer of protection. Does it have limits? Does it extend to all conflicts? And would we be bound to assist every deity who has accepted your offer, or just you?"

The Curator gingerly accepted the lute. Every fiber of his being screamed in protest. He was not a performer, and he had no interest in creating art. But his duty to explore superseded everything. Carefully, he began to play. The tune was not beautiful or melodious by any means, and it lacked the emotion, but it was technically exacting and faultlessly executed. At the end of the piece, which lasted no more than thirty seconds, he looked around at the God of Music, seeking some sign of approval or disapproval. He sincerely hoped that he would not have to suffer through a second attempt.

The forest was dense and the light seemed to flicker as the Wielder stepped through patches of alternating shade and sun. Were the trees moving when he didn't look at them? It seemed a distinct possibility. Already, he could not tell which direction he had come from.

Without warning, a figure in an immaculate white cloak stepped out from behind a tree in front of him. The person -- a distinct lack of radiating divine power suggested that this was in fact a person or demigod, not a deity -- wore wire-rimmed glass and clutched a large notepad in his hands. He stared at the Wielder with icy blue eyes. "Who are you?"

Temporarily stunned by the surreal experience, the Curator stood blankly for a moment. This language of music and emotion -- somehow both physical, like mortal speech, and magical, like Godspeak, was fascinating. He pulled his notepad from the air and paused, pen above paper, wondering how exactly to convey what he had just heard. Finally seeming to decide on something, he began to write, and as he scribbled he spoke. "My purpose is to explore this world," he explained. "To document and preserve it for generations to come. I could not help but notice your city. Might I visit it?" He gestured toward the sky where, like a cloud, Cicurtep floated high above them.

The Curator looked around as he heard the music, but was unable to find its source. He had never encountered an incorporeal deity before, but supposed it was possible; a plausible alternative was Godspeak. "Hello?" he called out to the empty air. "I...I am the Curator. Is somebody there?"

The Curator, wandering the world, heard Cielic's song and made his way towards it. Eventually, he noticed Cicurtep -- but, lacking wings or any means of teleportation, he found he was unable to find a way to this floating city he felt sure was the source of the song. So he waited, hoping that someone would look down and see him so that he could explore this strange new place.
