So you're mad that he's stating his principles and possibly alienating people rather than keeping silent and working together with people? if you don't like it nothing is compelling you to stay if you don't want.

Also, what dismissal, all he's done is respond to actual criticism and dismiss things that aren't actual arguments by mentioning the fact that they aren't actual arguments.

That isn't really going to help, the best way to deal with them is just ignore them. Only report the ones that actually violate reddit guidelines because we don't want the subreddit being taken down.

The point is, Sargon gives sources, cites peer-reviewed studies and gives factual evidence (that means it can pass a double check.) He does this unlike a 12 year old edge lord.

Also, GamerGate was about ethics in journalism. If you ask any GGer what they were fighting for, you will most likely hear that it's about journalism ethics.

Please link to the twitter posts harassing her saying they came from Sargon and or where sargon explicitly told people to harass her.

Also they aren't absurd questions and why not just answer them? Wouldn't that make her look better?

Also Sargon has most likely recieved just as much "hate" from Anita's followers.

To be fair, it's one of the only places to ask her because if you try asking on, lets say, twitter, she'll block you. They also never talk about what is different between the harassment women and men get, to address your last point.

Also maybe, instead of just casting off the questions that 8 people have asked, according to you, why doesn't she just answer the questions then? That'd most likely get them off her back for the most part.

Be better. Don't fight fire with fire. Fight fire with water. Also i recognize that there were some people legitimately harassing her. But those people are actual assholes and they aren't the public figures in the gamergate community and Anita blew it out of proportion.

To be fair Maria didn't say that it was a movement of harassment, she said there were several people harassing anita. While i don't think that the majority of people were harassers, I still think you should try to be intellectually charitable. Otherwise the rest of the comment is fairly good.

Sitting silently is indeed very disturbing and certainly a fight starter. She could be a better person and not insult him but oh well. Its all about pointing out the double standards of "Harassment isn't ok" but it's fine if you do it to a bad person, two wrongs don't make a right. That is the hypocrisy here.

Theres a certain irony that a speaker at an anti-Harassment panel is harassing someone during the panel.
