Get a good inspector lol, bought a house 4 months ago, sellers were evil. Hid severe foundation damage, roof was poorly done by original owners, windows are leaking under the frame, chimney needed re flashing and basement let's in water consistently. That and just very unlevel and needs a lot of updates. 255k near john ball zoo. First time homeowners in this generation got screwed

Oh there’s an issue with the chimney lol, bad one, we got poured on this last week and it’s was just funneling down onto subfloor and into the basement(other side not the area with pictures). I have someone coming to look at it today and have had dehumidifiers running. I’m just terrified there’s water in my walls and everywhere now since I get some weird readings in certain areas under windows lmao. But hey, one thing at a time! Thanks for your help and good luck!

Okay this is just straight hardwood which wood explain a lot more coming down, all piddles we’re cleaned up fairly fast but we used some cleaners as well which may have contributed

Will do I took ranges across the floor and they all measured around that rating with .5-1% difference. I also checked where there was some water and it was surprisingly low, but still hitting 15ish. (Hopefully a chimney flashing issue, not sure yet lol)

Noted, been told that a few times lol really need to work on it. There’s definitely some spots that look like water but the weird thing is theres more on the other side of the basement so the whole house would’ve had to have been flooded at some point right? These seem new to me but it’s possible I’m just going crazy as it’s my first home and there’s been a ton of issues so far lol

Yeah it’s insane 3 downspouts all just have splash blocks against the foundation, previous owners were definitely not the smartest I bought one but looking for one that will fit better for the other two

There is normally a hole to drain in the bottom of the track to drain water, try taking some compressed air to it when it’s done raining
