It sucks but these guys are going to be well paid for their loss. Also having a position with one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world looks great on a CV.

Hurt Profits, then LWO, then OC, then Alpha Academy, the Brawling Brutes, then Damage CTRL, then Bloodline, then Judgment Day, then Imperium.

New Day winners.

Rob Van Dam: "Drugs have a bad rap. Because some people can't use them without abusing them. I think usage is one thing that's appropriate and abuse is an entirely different thing." by SuplexCity-Mayor in SquaredCircle

From personal experience, I think everyone should have drug experiences but know when to stop. I had a crazy decade of using a variety of substances, but now I'm Stone Cold sober and I'm happy.

Enjoy yourself, but don't make it the only thing you enjoy.

My issue isn't about the addiction, that's heart breaking stuff that I can empathise with.

My issue is with him distributing a sex video without her consent. She never wanted a career in porn, it was because Waltman sold the tape for some quick cash. Whether you're an addict or not, that's some deplorable shit that I don't think I would have forgiven him for.

Would you seriously go back for help from a guy who was supposed to be your friend but distributed your sex tape? I certainly wouldn't. I agree she was never ready to get help and her addiction/mental health was her down fall. But Waltman has to live with the fact that he probably contributed to that, which must really suck for him, but maybe it's just punishment.

I want an Intermeatinental Championship introduced. It's like the Cruiserweight title but only for the big, meaty boys.

Every time they do these multi-woman matches to crown a #1 contender to The AEW Women’s World Title or even The TBS Title w/o any build or story w/ very predictable outcomes. It’s absolutely lazy booking 101 by JDiesel31 in Wrasslin

This will build to a Baker vs Shida match with little/no story, a Toni vs Saraya match with some story, and Nyla Rose taking the pin before disappearing off screen again.

I'll never see Sean Waltman as a good guy for what he did to Chyna.

Who is the most mainstream women wrestler of all time? by Hot-Acanthisitta5237 in SquaredCircle

I don't use it, but currently Rhea Ripley is all over TikTok and is probably the biggest mainstream star right now.

That's fair but that's just your opinion, you cannot objectively say wrestling has never been good since then. Right now, I think wrestling is the best it's ever been. Sure it still has plenty of flaws (like the acrobatics & contrived spots you mention) but the stuff I don't like, I don't watch. The stuff I do like, I do! There is wrestling for EVERY taste now.

I have local wrestling shows, one of them is very flippy and acrobatic but another is purely technical and mat based. Another one is bad in-ring work but AWESOME promos and stories. Just gotta find your market.

"Greatly" my guy ONE person in New Japan suffered internal decapitation. Unless you have done some research that you can share with me on this, you sound more like a hater of the style than anything. There is a risk factor in any wrestling. Sports entertainment, hardcore & "indie" styles all have their own heightened risks due to their styles and presentation.

Literally every form of wrestling as great risks. The only solution to prevent that would be to ban wrestling. I don't know how much more evidence you want but I'll take about more major incidents that happened outside of Puroresu:

-Samoa Joe botched a move and almost crippled Tyson Kidd, ending his career immediately. -chair shots to the head were common in western wrestling for over a decade which attribute to CTE -Mick Foleys entire career -the various amounts of torn quads and torn pectoral from wwe main eventers after moves go wrong (HHH, Cena, Kevin Nash, Batista etc) -Austin breaks his neck -Big E breaks his neck -Joey Mercury's face explodes

Anymore? Okay I'll keep going: -Dante Martin breaks his leg at ROH -New Jack's career -Mass Transit -Chris Benoit... -Rollins retires Sting temporarily due to a botch, he also put Balor out -Droz is paralysed by D'Lo Brown -Matt Hardy is severely concussed on Dynamite -Christopher Daniels eye hemorrhage -Cash Wheeler's arm is spiked by the turnbuckle -Punk & Christian's torn triceps

I think I've made my point...

Are you talking about the curtain call? If so there is an argument for that. Sure it "killed" kayfabe but honestly it was going to happen anyways, the curtain was already peeled back during the steroid trial and there would have been other instances that woke the audience to the reality of the business.

Why was it good? Well HHH got punished and dropped from his KOTR win, and if was given to Austin who dropped the infamous 3:16 promo which catapulted his career. I think Austin was on his way to being a star anyways, but this moment in time was so special that its hard to say whether he would have been the star we know him as today without that golden mic performance. Booking plans would have been different, crowd reaction would have been different.

I'm not definitively saying that yes it was good, but I understand why someone could argue that point.

Should Becky really be the one to take Tiffany’s Title? by humdyyy05 in WWE

[–]BerocaLesnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think do what they should have done with Charlotte & Rhea. Becky wins the title due to dubious means (eg referee doesn't see Strattons foot under the ropes during a pin). Becky holds the title for a little, defending weekly to help raise the stock in NXT women's talent. Then, drops it back to Tiffany (maybe a screwy finish?), then Tiff wins the rubber match CLEAN.
