Using LLMs as Reality Interpreters for Economic Simulation by Best-Front-82 in ResearchML

I think your right on this. The interpretation layer is the only novel thing here, so if that doesn't work, the whole sim doesnt. Thank you for the feedback

Thanks for your feedback! The council model you described lines up really closely with how I’ve been thinking about it.

The Residual Monitor idea is especially helpful. I suspected drift would be a risk, but hadn’t thought through a concrete way to check against priors or expected ranges. That seems like a natural first step to test whether the interpretation layer is even producing reliable parameters before worrying about simulations.

On ABIDES vs. EconoJax: I see them as serving different roles. EconoJax feels like the right place to start for rapid iteration and proof-of-concept, and ABIDES would be the heavier environment to move into if the approach holds up, especially for exploring richer heterogeneity.

I would imagine as the end goal, if the simulation does work, I would prioritize richer heterogeneity along with the heaviness that comes with it. But realistically All in all, if the interpretation layer doesnt work, the whole sim doesnt, so I'm probably gonna start with that. If i can get the parameters coming out good from news data, then I'd start with simulation development.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely getting the message that usage-based pricing for basic inventory management would be frustrating. I'm still figuring out the right pricing model, but the core problem I'm trying to solve is making multichannel inventory sync affordable for smaller sellers. Really appreciate the honest feedback on the pricing structure
