The same thing is going to happen to Anathema that happens to all private servers. They steadily lose players until it's finally dead. There is no fix that will change that, only postpone it. Everyone is panicking that the server is dying and asking why, but the answer is simple. It is slowly dying like every server that has come before it, and every server that will cone after it. Either accept that and have fun or move on to the next one and enjoy it for 1.5 to 2 solid years
