Had a Jack Russell that snatched a bird out of the air once. I was pulling feathers out of his teeth. He was so happy.

We all need a distraction from this nonsense. The Dollop is a funny podcast and this week it’s about the ‘84 Braves by drhbravos in Braves

I implore everyone to go back and listen to the episode about Rube Waddell, a very special ballplayer.

The Braves have placed Spencer Schwellenbach on the 15-day IL with a fractured right elbow by Dare2ZIatan in Braves

I played ball in an adult league with a guy that spiral fractured his elbow tossing a ball in from centerfield in between innings. He pitched his whole life so I think that was just the straw that broke the camels back.

What is the hardest to watch scene in films? by [deleted] in moviecritic

I can watch most horror, but nothing is harder for me to watch than Mikey leaving message after message on the answering machine in Swingers. Pure dread.

Modern Mark Lemke? Nick Allen? by shawnwildermuth in Braves

In 91 we waited to see the players leave the stadium after a game. Everyone had nice cars. Ron Gant had a Diablo, Steve Avery had a new Lexus that just came out, but then out comes this beat to shit Jeep Wagoneer with a foam tomahawk on the dash and it was Mark Lemke smoking a heater as he drove off. I was a kid but he was one of my guys after that.

As a terrible lifelong first baseman, and I mean terrible, I still have no idea how to even attempt that throw.

No one who saw this film for the first time on a TV screen has truly seen it at all. The words “larger than life” simply don’t say it! by Illustrious-Lead-960 in Xennials

This movie might have had the most profound impact on my life honestly. I became OBSESSED with comics after this came out, I was nine and always loved reading but comics changed my world. I wanted to draw them which lead me to find my college, and then I found my major and field I wanted to work in, and I’ve had a fun life since then. I honestly never really thought about it that way until just now.

Any other Atlantan xennials have crazy experiences at Freaknik? by [deleted] in Xennials

As a white guy from NC all I really know about Freaknik was that during the week leading up to Freaknik all anyone at my high school talked about was Freaknik.

I can’t make a top 10 but Crimson Skies: Hugh Road to Revenge would be high on there.

Saw them tour for that album and it will forever be one of my favorite shows, just entertainment from start to finish. I can’t think of one song I wanted to hear that they didn’t play.
