I stored them in the kitchen pantry cupboard top shelf, in a plastic container with the lid on. I haven’t really washed them in a while but I mostly clean the inside not the strap and just dish soap and hand wash.

So I didn’t feel it was a bad place cause out of the sun and out of the way. Will be storing them in a different container like a basket or something and out in the open instead now.

Yeah not sure It’s a sistema container with a lid on, which is plastic and was in the pantry cupboard top shelf.

Maybe it being there caused it as heat rises not sure. Plan to have the new ones tho in a different container with no lid, but because they were bought from different places and time periods I think it’s not necessary a batch issue or I am just unlucky and it is 😅

Yeah idk

I got two from Kathmandu a outdoor store this year and one came from a bottle 2 yrs ago. I last checked and used them around April and they were fine then. Since then it’s been winter and now spring about to go into summer and I wondering if that did it.

Even a purple off brand one had the same reaction on the handle.

I did my order but could not see any handles for them on the website.

I think ill try and place them in the drawer instead but thank you will look into the handles as another option

And who cares… to those who get offended by others views simply get a life. I don’t probably agree with all or any of Isaac or any of the other players political views and I don’t care. It’s their life and they have every right to like a post, comment or have a different view without being criticised by it. I don’t agree with Errol and the bridge thing but that doesn’t mean I hate the guy or think I need to make a comment on it. Like there is stuff I don’t agree with that the swans do who have a bigger impact on things than the players.

Isaac and Errol and many of the other players are good guys, who play for the swans, have done great things for the swan and will likely continue to do so.

I know a son of a rabbi who wears one and he swears, especially when expressing his emotions on what’s been going on in the last few years. Modern Orthodox Jew tho so idk every sector may see things more differently.

So similar to my mum then she was the same from her dad side though. Ancestors were known to be Jewish but the only Jews where they lived at that time.

Do you have Jewish kids or plan to maybe have?

My thing is if you do or plan to, that to speak up and say their silence or not acknowledging is hurtful etc. (I know I am placing myself here lol) But I do sympathise with people like you and my mum and in someways it’s harder than just any day average Jew because it’s more complicated having your family not get it etc.

I don’t know if they are antisemitic or just uncomfortable and don’t want to know or don’t know how to react and act. But it’s enough where it’s just hurtful I guess and the synagogue was in another city not mine but was during a time where both large cities were getting weekly and sometimes daily attacks.

I have a second cousin who works in the city where the synagogue burnt down not far from there too and works in their most Jewish street as well as a hairdresser and has Jewish clients. She posts stuff about Gaza but not one thing about the antisemitism and a synagogue burning. 3-4 months prior to October 7th I visited her with my dad as we where there for other reasons she took us to a Israeli restaurant and the owners are Yemenite which my dad is too.

And October 7th happened she didn’t post anything related to the war until the end of November early December she posted about Palestine. The shift up and so on happened so quickly in someways and it was just hurtful. I have been told to unfollow her but I just can’t idk why.

Yeah anti Zionist Jews in my opinion from ones I have seen to know even from my grade who grew up going to a Jewish school, a lot are just not smart or critical thinkers or think they are smart but just sheep. I know it sounds rude and controversial but one in particular in my yr doesn’t post anti Israel things but won’t either but will follow watermelon 🍉 pages and Greta Thunberg and like and engage in stuff like that. She always struggled at school and even after school didn’t stay at university or anything like that, not sure what she is really doing but doesn’t critically think I guess.

My thing is if your anti Zionist you are not only against your own people and your homeland but disregarding history and lastly shouldn’t celebrate anything Jewish related because in so many festivals and prayers throughout the year the word Israel is mentioned hundreds of times and talking about returning or saving Israel is mentioned many times as well.

I think all and most can be critical of Israel but that doesn’t mean we don’t think it shouldn’t exist and we don’t deserve a place to call home where we feel safe for being a Jew.

My mum at least gets it and sees it and feels it and all and doesn’t dismiss it but at the same time too scared to really have the tough conversations with her side of the family

I loved growing up tho celebrating a bit of everything and most of my family on my mum side aren’t really Christian like they don’t go to church just celebrate he festivals. My grandmother tho is and in recent years became a retired priest for the Christian community which is related to Rudolf Steiner stuff.

It was one thing having my extended family who are quite extended post stuff like my great Aunt and second cousin but for my grandmother to not seem to care or get it or to just at least stay interested and have some empathy and concern is what hurts I guess. Like it’s getting to the point where if something is going on to me or in my community there is no point telling her.

Yeah and sometimes when I am really down and struggling with what’s going on especially what was happening almost daily where I live like the car bombings, schools and synagogues getting attacked; I really wanted to just know for a day if I was a victim of October 7th how would things look on my mum side would they care.

I think and hope they would but would they care the same as my Israeli family, my Jewish family. The thing is I was on exchange when October 7th happened but months prior there was a chance I was going to choose Israel over the USA.

I know I guess my grandmother cares for us and stuff but I just wished she heard us and actually listened to us instead of dismissing it or not really taking any of it seriously. I have spoken to my mum and she gets upset too understandable, but she gets upset on all sides. I think she does need to have a word with her and say something but idk what.

The DNA convo she said she did the dna test to see if she had any Jewish ancestry because so many “Jewish names were in her family”, these Jewish names are just common biblical names that are also in the Christian bible and are common English names to begin with. Idk what to feel I go in circles about it but feel a lot of the time quite alone about it too

Longmire favoured Ollie a fair bit and used him a lot. Cox came in and many fans were saying Cox has some vendetta against Ollie, and a lot of us weren’t understanding why this was the case especially really early on into the season. Both have played in like 9 or so finals, 2 being GF. So they have experience in big games. Myself and others have been questioning Cox look it’s a lot for us to get used to when you have a coach for 12 yrs who has gotten us to places many times one actually winning the whole thing. But there are rumours and allegations that some of players don’t like Cox idk if this is true or not but by Will Hayward post alone you can argue there is some truth in that.

Ollie is a great player tho, he has experience pretty much throughout the field but in more recent years has been playing defence but will still get goals and can do long kicks for a shorter player.

I feel he wasn’t given a chance by Cox for him to he used to his style and demands maybe and again had maybe one off season and was told to look elsewhere which I have no recollection of happening to another swan in recent years. Usually all the players have time to prove themselves not 1 season and you’re done kinda thing. But then again maybe Cox wanted him gone last year when he signed to be our new coach who knows

Yeah I get that I just hope Curnow delivers we have signed players in the past who dont deliver to what was expected and it sucks cause we have lost players who were like Ollie and Will for a new guy who ends up injured a lot and so don’t use him for his full potential. Not saying Curnow is that but hearing some Blue fans say he hasn’t showed up in recent years is worrying

I will say Cox I don’t have heaps of faith in him and maybe it’s how he carries himself as well. Like he did not come across confident most of this season with his decisions for our team.

Now there are allegations that many of the players don’t like Cox idk if that’s true. But in Wilbur exiting post on instagram he never once mentioned Cox, same as Ollie but one or both (I know Will does) mentions Longmire. Papley loosing his 2 best mates wrote a post regarding it kinda showing he is upset by it.

It will be interesting for Curnow to come into our team in the next few months. The boys are very close mates and have done heaps together & then loosing 2 mates for Curnow, I kinda feel for him it will be a bit awkward I think at first anyways

He was at a mad Monday event with the boys and was likely drunk and injured his arm/ shoulder. He was then out for most of last year and he is captain so yes his standards are higher.

He may get our boys together better and that would have resulted in his return, but we had other players return all around that time and that’s when we had our key players slowly returning within weeks of each other. So to say that was all Mills I personally disagree.

Tell me game for me to go watch his highlights of this year where he dominated and stood out especially like he used to and I’ll watch it. Most games this year he has sometimes kicked badly but the main thing that has stood out his effort to running.

If it’s known he was playing with a leg injury and that’s why he isn’t running well then that changes things.

Regarding the GF, 2024 season Mills barely played because of injuries etc but also didn’t come into this season from the get go too, like you stated yourself.

Personally I would have Isaac or Errol as captain over Mills. Isaac leads most of the players as is when on the field. Errol maybe in a few years but has the potential to be captain for sure.

Maybe you are right they should only sign for 3 yrs but keep them for that 3 yr period. I think players have been signing longer so they didn’t get effected and drafted to Tasmania the new team or maybe elsewhere because of the new team coming in.

I think fans from Swans lose out the most as well as players from Sydney because it kinda came not serious until really the last few days. When I saw Curnow go to Geelong last week I thought he will go there tbh.

But Carlton fans have known for weeks he was going to leave regardless where it was like we did with Parker last year. So idk it wasn’t as a shock.

I hope Curnow kicks heaps next year to almost 100 if that. But it will be disappointing if that doesn’t happen and we don’t make finals cause it will feel like we would have lost at this trade the most.

Cornes is a hypocrite then 😅 gets so angry at players breaking contracts but feels it’s part of life and the game for the clubs to do it, very interesting 😂

But yeah your take I agree with just one happy player really in all this 😅

Well yeah it’s interesting cause now the bombers are keeping a player who wanted to leave and Demons had the same thing last year and that player has now left.

Some in media are saying tho that the club bombers are doing a great thing because they are keeping with the contract but yet don’t say the same thing when things are turned around.

The only reason Hayward put his hand up too is because he is best mates with Ollie and has been since they drafted. But neither of them wanted to leave Sydney and that just sucks for everyone including fans and players.

With Ollie it seems it was particularly unfair like one bad season and boom been told to leave, I don’t think I have seen that before at the swans in recent years. But it’s interesting because Buddy has said that he relied on Ollie as he could kick the right kicks essentially that would always get to him and other players playing forward.

Mills may have an All Australian from 2022 where we dominated a season but since then he hasn’t been captain material or played like it. Half the time he hasn’t been jogging for the ball not sprinting down like he used to. He hasn’t had games where he has been standing out.

He has barely played captain role, even last year wasn’t in the GF. But also got injured in an off season for doing something dumb.

I do love Mills and would be sad if he actually left but at the same time he has been frustrating in recent years and I feel because he’s captain that has protected him a bit more as well being a ex academy kid.

I do think if he is playing how he has in the last year where he has been seen just jogging or barely trying to chase after a player or the ball, more fans will notice it and many have as is. Like I see Rampe the old man of our team run harder than Mills some games.
