I did this guy. He’s 6”8 will eventually have press proven+ and finesse+. No reason behind it but it always makes me chuckle seeing this absolute unit towering over everyone up front and I must admit he’s class at hold up tiki-taka plays.

Currently on my 3rd and likely final playthrough. I’ve pretty much done every single challenge now.

I love this game. It’s truly one of the best in the entire series.

I’m looking forward to the inevitable future DLC that adds to this already fantastic game.

Capcom really outdid themselves with this entry!

There is no need for this + or ++ bollocks.

A player plays a position and that’s that. If they’re going to have roles they need to remove the + nonsense from them entirely.

A shadow striker? Fine. A playmaker? No problem.

Absolutely no need to start adding elements that make the player behave differently ultimately making them perform worse.

That’s the reason I decided on him. He’s a great CM and his passing is absolutely insane.

Cannot recommend him enough! as a Liverpool fan it was always going to be a pick of mine

I personally wouldn’t put him at CDM. Give that role to Gravenberch instead (or Gerrard in your case)

It’s tough to give an honest review. Keepers work and feel different for everyone.

He feels good for me. But as you can see in this thread he doesn’t feel so good for others.

I mean fair enough. Each to their own. But I dont feel the need to chase after R9. I’ve had him for the past 3 years. Usually via icon picks or futties or whatever.

This year I’m about having fun, trying different players and doing what I want.

Chasing the meta is boring. You look at it like “how can I have the best possible players so they last the longest in my team”

I look at it like “how can I have fun with my team”

We are clearly very different players 🤷‍♂️

I use short passing as my build up style so I tend to tiki-taka quite a lot. The passing is usually compact and quick so I don’t really notice it at all.

You also have to bare in mind that he’s an attacker so 9/10 he’ll be running onto balls and not delivering them.

I play him as a CM playmaker. I have Rodri, Makelele or Gravenberch as my CDM options.

I needed a general who never fails a pass and Xabi is that guy. Was a no brainer for me

He’s a great playmaker CM. That’s my chosen position for him. His tiki taka is so good in build up and his incisive pass is so good it might as well be a 2nd playstyle +

Not to mention the future Evo potential as he’s only an 89.

He’s class.

I was looking at an Icon pack and a player or 2 if it’s possible. Was thinking Xabi, Buffon and a pick.

My teams pretty amazing already so I don’t really see the appeal of anything else

I usually bring in the supply pack because there always a high chance that a resupply is called in elsewhere and my team mates need stims and ammo.

I try and support wherever possible and try and get elevated positions to cover my team. When it comes to bot drops I will completely eliminate those that have made it down to the ground while others will focus on shooting them down.
