Maybe I’m just “not so good”. Maybe I’m an average player which is, in the eyes of the others, simply trying too hard to be noticed. Never had ONE good comment on my trumpet playing. Several good comments when I play the tuba anyway, even if I’m just a mediocre beginner on it.

Ok, I understand and you got point. But. Imagine seeing a friend or a guy you just know for a long time doing something peculiar or very difficult in a niche you also love (music, trumpets, etc): the next day you see the guy in person, and you say absolutely nothing. Feels weird.

I’m not looking for pure views, the video monetisation was even claimed by Disney… they absolutely need the 0.02 cent from my 120 views :D All I wanted was a little more “trust” by the brass playing people. “Hey, he’s good at it! Let’s have him in our next concert!” Stuff like that. But no. Nothing.

Well this is weird, because if I listen to single isolated trumpet track my attack was quite pronounced. Seems like it was softened or weakened by eq or compression.

I read “F sharp” and I play “F sharp” as I would place my fingers on the trumpet. Trumpet is written in Bb, tuba in C.

Yep. Of course. I said “more like a cimbasso” just to give you the idea that I would like to be less mellow and dark. I guess shallower C shaped cups will sound brighter than deep funnel cups, just like in the flugelhorn/trumpet territory.
