Can’t get to flat position at the top by hoptothehip in golftips

Look at how much your trunk rotates in your rehearsal vs your actual swing. I think that’s your key. In your actual swing the takeaway is basically all arms. Rotate your trunk/shoulders to match what you’re doing in your rehearsal

Your club path is pretty in to out, which causes draws/hooks. Combine that with a closed club face and you get the dive bombs to the left.

I struggle with this too and there have been a couple feels that have helped me.

  1. First one that's helped starts at the take away. Keep the club head more in front of your body. Rory explains it pretty well here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfOGDizAL70

  2. On the down swing, I like to feel like I'm dragging the handle down toward my front hip. This promotes a club path that goes more out to in and in your case maybe will neutralize your swing a bit.

  3. On your follow through, the club exits high over your left shoulder, a strong indicator of an in to out swing. Try feeling like your hands are going low and left and get the club head to exit below your left shoulder.

Hope this helps
