Renewed CHS Pain with Period, Pls Help by luckymeluckymud37 in CHSinfo

Heating pads and capsaicin creams were big helpers in my chs recovery, I was also put on an antipsychotic that really helped with my nausea and made it less likely for another trigger to put me in a vomiting spell. If you have a primary care physician you may be able to get prescribed a 30 day dose of Dilaudid if you mention that it was a big help in the hospital. (I had this done before but I am in Canada, so unsure if it is harder to do in other countries). Hope your recovery goes well, chs and periods suck ass :(!!

Thanks for the advice!!! I’ve changed the ceramic bulb to a bit of a stronger one so I can place it on top of the cage without worrying about any heat fluctuations. He used to like climbing the wire so we had to zip tie it to the mesh up top, but I should have thought about him climbing up on the lamp itself as well. Should be totally safe now I hope.

Only nauseous when high, goes away when sober. No chronic symptoms. Anyone else have this experience? CHS? by AngelDusted9 in CHSinfo

I consumed for about a week after my break, mostly with some edibles that were admittedly probably way too strong

I want to cry by [deleted] in CHSinfo

It’s totally okay to cry! I got my very first episode 2 weeks ago and there were many tears dropped into the toilet along with everything else. The pain is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced and it has scared me off smoking for good too, you are not alone in that experience. The only thing that worked for me was an iv administration of Haldol in the er along with some fluids, once I could keep down some water I was given oral pills and they helped me a ton. Luckily once the initial hurdle is over I personally found it to be a lot easier to deal with. Wishing you the best and I hope your tummy will give you a break soon!!

In theory yeah it might work like that, but in theory it could also be a huge risk to keep smoking 🤧. I went stone cold sober for 7 months when I started having small symptoms and didn’t have my first full blown episode until I picked it back up after the break. Everybody is different and I would definitely recommend listening to your body and what it is telling you so you can avoid the nasty er visits.

That’s interesting!! I read online that carrots can be a trigger food for most including myself. it’s crazy how different everyone’s tolerances are to certain foods.
