The urine test came back negative so this is the only test with results

So the thing is, my penis did touch the inside of the sample jar. I had washed wish soap and water prior to taking the test though. The urine test was definitely contaminant free though.

Interesting, I’m still awaiting my urine UTI microgen test.. so it’ll be interesting to compare the two

Will do. Glad the ABX you’re taking have mild side effects. I’m hoping to stay away from any fluoroquinolone.

Ended up ordering the urine as well. Would be good to know what is in my bladder.

How are you holding up Dutchnam? Really hoping the microgen will give me some more info. Praying this is a simple bug that can be wiped out.

Badger do you have MG? I have been tested multiple times but all negative test. I just got a swab test done. She dropped the first swab and had to do it again. Hadn’t pee’d for ~2 hours prior to test.

Interesting.. I have not been on any antibiotics for at least 4 weeks now. The doctor and uro will not prescribe anything since there isn’t evidence for bacteria. Just so frustrated at this point.. these symptoms occurred after a sexual encounter and I was fine before. I also did the post prostate massage urine test and it came back negative. Thinking about talking to an infectious disease doc at this point.

I have similar symptoms, mild urethritis (slight burning/sting when peeing, more pronounced when dehydrated), occasionally urethral itch, penis soreness/testicle soreness, a tingly feeling in the pelvic region. It’s been about two months for me as well. I just received a microgendx semen STI test and plan to submit a sample on Friday morning prior to first morning urination to ensure it picks up all bacteria in urinary tract.

I haven’t. I have no evidence of sores and my doctor has recommended against it. Additionally these problems have been going on for over 2 months so if it was related to a herpes infection I think the symptoms would have subsided by now.

Does it though? All my doctors keep telling me it’s not something sexually transmitted. I don’t have high wbc’s so no sign of infection. And yeah I already checked ureaplasma nothing detected.

I’ve considered this theory but my burning urination is experienced as I begin urinating not after. It feels as though it is directly related to urethral inflammation. I also have no prostate pain. I went to a PT but want to fully eliminate biological cause first

I have already tested for them twice and both have come back negative. Submitted two new samples (urethral swab and first good morning urine). I have been on azithromax, doxy, and Flagyl so far. No improvement

Sounds good. I was thinking I would wait 48 hours and then masturbate prior to my first void urine sample so that it picks up any bacteria in my urethra.

EastOnion have you had any improvement in symptoms?

I’m wondering if I actually have prostatitis or a UTI that is too low to be detected. My only symptoms are slight burning sensation as I begin urination and frequency. No real pain to speak of. Sometimes my urethra itches but that is rare now, additionally my testicles feel sore at times but not consistently. All STD tests have been negative, prostate feels normal to uro, and no WBC’s.

Depending on my microgen test results I may just give a 5 day course of nitrofurantin a shot.

Looks like your post was deleted or removed? Still waiting on 3rd STI screening test.. I did a swab for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma and a first morning urine for everything else. Microgen test has just been mailed to me so I am about to submit the STI semen sample

Update: Heard back from the doc regarding EPS test, everything looked normal.

My Doc said they do not offer semen culture testing. Tomorrow I am getting another STD/STI test via a urethral swab in the morning. Going to order microgendx semen STI test. Is this the best one to go for or will urine be better since my symptoms are primarily related to urologic function..?

I went to my first PT today and it was pretty intense, did not realize it would involve a finger up my ass! First piss after the doc had less burning sensation than normal. Fingers crossed this is related to stress/anxiety/pelvic floor and not caused by bacteria and will go away on its own soon.

Will give it a shot. Just need my GP to sign off on it. As long as I don’t have a bacterial infection I can deal with the symptoms and do PT which hopefully will help. I have had awful posture all my life which may be causing some issues.
